Intermittent Surge on 1984 GL Wagon
what kind of plug wires are you using? My loyale had some cheap wires on it and made it have a hesitation, then i replaced them with NGK wires and it went away. subarus are just to damn picky when it comes to ignition parts.

82nd and Prescott. I drive by that guy every day going to work and he has cars in his side yard that I want damn it. Some pretty cool stuff out there, I just wonder why they never move or why he doesn't do stuff with them. Or maybe he does, I just never see them move. Like the lifted hatch, that thing needs to get out and play.

Need help with idle loop, with video
I have having problems with a looping idle in my 90 legacy. This just started last weekend and I don't even know where to start. The first video is of the car cold and me not giving any gas at all. cold idle The second video is after it is warmed up, still a little loop, but not as bad. warm idle It came up after a rally cross last weekend. It had never done it before. Any help would be great. thanks

Horrible news, Colin McRae dies in Helicopter Crash

Horrible news, Colin McRae dies in Helicopter Crash
i wish these rally guys would just stop dieing, makes me a little fearful to start. I guess that kind of smashes my hopes of ever meeting him. He will be missed, I always enjoyed watching his old videos, that guy was nuts in a car, hope I'm that crazy in a car someday. :(:(

Allied Armament's old buy thread, you all got your stuff yet?
trust me phone calls work the best with these guys, actually I take that back, showing up on there door steps is best, but phone calls are second best. And even then it's sometimes tough. There main gig is not selling subaru stuff anymore. So they don't really hang on the USMB. Give them a call and talk to Albie he's the resident suby nut out there and I'm sure he could help you out. The best part is they finally got a nice gal answering the phone, so the phone actually gets answered now.

Correct me if i`m wrong: 95 ej22 into 98 forester
mellow65 replied to 75subie's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXand normally people find the 95 ej22s because they were still duel ports for the exhaust so everything would bolt up to the ej25 headers. i think somewhere in 96-97 they went to a single port at that point you would have to use single port headers.

mellow65 replied to 75subie's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXactually the ej22 from a 95 legacy was obdII, they started when they changed the body style. Also an odd one that I never new, was the impreza, in 95, the 1.8 were obdI and the 2.2 was obdII. I know this because I have owned both of them.

any else make it to the Primitive rally school
if sister7 had the ej20 powered rx she was in my group, cool little car and nice gal, i saw your your impreza and the red legacy gt. my time was 1:34.7 (can't remember the hundredth mark. the red gt i think had a time of 1:34.4 and then the white evo had a 1:31 but he smacked a gate. I was the one in the blue legacy that done for stage rally. i know i know what people think done for rally that should be quick. well it's set up for PTG witch means stock drive train and mainly all you can do is safety stuff. The only thing I have done to it really was a stock WRX suspension and some normal old street tires. But because it is what it is I have to run modified class, I'm putting the rally tires on this morning. See you all out there.

i had a great time today. I got paired up with Jamie aka subie gal and she was a hoot. I have never been yelled at so much to get on it, get on it, get on it in my life. If anyone ever was thinking of doing it, do it, so much seat time great nice people and you may even surprise yourself. Like me, in the final graduation lap of the course i put away a good chunk of the pack. Including an STI a bunch of WRXs and a hand full of everything else. And thats me being in a 90 legacy with 181k on the clock. Out of 30+ i had the third fastest time, the first smacked a gate and added 10 secs to his time and the second person won by like 4 tenths of a second. So overall second isn't a bad place to be for your first time out. and if you did go I will see you out at the rally cross tomorrow morning.

mellow65 replied to mellow65's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXthanks for the link i think something like this will work. what about them to use is a pain in the rump roast.

do they make camber kits for the rear of older legacys
mellow65 replied to mellow65's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXi put stock wrx shock and springs and the rear lifted up a little making the rear have a little positive camber. its about 1 degree but i would still like get it as close as possible.

I have a camber issue on the back of my legacy and an alignment didn't fix the problem. I have some odd suspension set up going on and just would be easier to get a camber kit if they make one.

mellow65 replied to mellow65's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXwell im hoping i can get a chance and check it out this weekend. been a crazy week. so do you think if that thing went bad that would make the light flash. I really want the seat belts to work, i just want that damn light to go off. So unplugging the unit wont work for me.

mellow65 replied to mellow65's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXi looked under the passenger seat and i swore i didn't see anything that looked like a control box of some sort. but then again i wasn't really looking for one i was just looking to see if there were wires running up to the lap belt for the passenger side belt too. i will check tomorrow
