  1. here are some pics i took of my subaru at a buddies party. they are a little dirty so bear with me.
  2. i g-tech'ed my 87 82t wagon, and the g-tech said 17.1 @ 68mph in the 1/4. that was all stock minus an intake in 105 degree heat. i kept hitting fuel cut early. i hate my darn car. it always hits fuel cut at like 4k. it just falls off.
  3. that is where i am at as well. the body and inside is so clean i really dont want to hurt it wheeling.
  4. super swamper makes a great snow tire if you dont mind the extreme offroad look. they come in all kinds of sizes too! for a serious tire i heard goodyear has a new tire called the assurance. it suposedly has some nice features like self cleaning treads, and special tread designs to help "grab" the road when iceing.
  5. god, i am excited for this. can you imagine a nationalally published mag that includes old subies as being "cool"! maybe we will finally get some real aftermarket support from the publicity! i signed up for the email thing. i will definatly be getting a subscription when its available.
  6. that would be great as the stock clutch(especially for the turbo) is the suxor. i am looking into it.
  7. so, if the front springs in stock form will raise the rear, will drop springs lower it?
  8. no, i am not going to attempt the change, i was going to have a shop do it. i was just wonderi9ng if i could save on parts by using that glass. thanks.
  9. yes, i too would subscribe. you guys should do tech stuff like engine swaps, and stuff. i would love to see a good article on how to put an ej series motor into an old gl, or rx.
  10. quick easy questionfor you guys. will an 85 wagon windshield fit into an 87 wagon? thanks.
  11. that may be it russ. its only when the a/c is on, and i have noticed some oil around the oil fill tube. i bet the cap is fubar. ill give it a try and see what happens. thanks. turbone, i do have a exteguisher(sp?).
  12. can anyone shed some insight on this? when ever my ac is on and i stop moving i smell gas through the vents. it isnt very strong but it is noticable. thanks for any help.
  13. wow, that is the same year and color as my turbo wagon. how cool would it be to have both modles of the same car? i wish i could have found something like that instead of my grey 85.
  14. wow, i just read this. i have been gone for a while. i sunk my toyota truck in a river once. it is definatly a scary thing. im glad you didnt loose her. i dont know if it has already been said, but you should probably hose off all the metal on the car so it doesnt rust. also keep in mind if you need any parts im parting out my 85 d/r wagon.
  15. same here, im parting out an 85 for VERY cheap.
  16. 3500-4000 driving about 5500 racing.
  17. i messed that up. it was a loyal wagon.
  18. i am selling/parting out my 85 wagon(ea82, d/r 5spd), if you need anything let me know. if i cant find somone to take the good stuff, or buy it whole, shes going back to the crusher.
  19. i think turbo magazing did a ej swap into an 90 legacy. it was a few issues ago. they did a complete write up.
  20. i am haveing the same problem in my 87. i tried all kinds of fuel injector cleaners, including denatured alcohol, and seafoam. if anyone figures it out let me know, as i am giving up. i have tried everything. on a side note, sandman did you notice any gains with the gutted cat?
  21. hey take care man, and try not to get bored. that will kill you out there. who are you with btw. iluvdrt hmt-302 semper fi.
  22. sweet. i figured it would work. very soon in the next few weeks it will work.
  23. i used to jump my old 85 sometimes, but never like that. i kind of feel sad now for watching that.
  24. i will try it. i think it would work. i will let you know if it does. so i dont have to change the hubs out on the turbo, only if i want the adjustable struts right? taking into consideration i have to use the d/r axles
  25. thanks a million miles, i was hopeing you, or someone who doesnt mind explaining things would help me out. i will try this in the next few weeks if all goes well. your link didnt work for me. so i will need this explained please. i do have to swap the hubs out because of the spline count, or no? does only the tranny side of the shaft have a diffrent spline count, or the entire axle? also, insted of using the n/a axles, can i take the tranny prtion of the n/a axle and put it on the tranny side of the turbo axle. will it fit over the bearings? my suby is a 87. the donor car is an 85. i know i will have to change the rear out, because mine is a 3/7, non limited slip.
