  1. Sorry for the delay. I looked and I found the gasket, but could not find the mirror for the life of me. I'll keep looking and keep you updated. -Aaron
  2. Just saw this, but I have a Gen1 Brat passenger mirror some where in my collection of crap. Also have the gasket somewhere as well. I'll see if I can find it tomorrow.
  3. Not sure actually what this relay is specifically called hence why I have these lovely pictures. I know it's a relay to some buzzer. I traced it back to this being the issue of my short in the car. Looking to see if anyone by chance has a functioning one laying around. This isn't a crucial part to keep the car running, so I'm in no desperate need, but if you have 1 laying around I would love to take it off your hands! -Aaron
  4. Oh, I didn't mean to sound worried. I was just seeing where we were in the process. Thanks for the heads up though!
  5. ^^^ This is beautiful, nicely done. How'd you do the suspension for this bad boy? The front shouldn't have been to bad, but the back must have been interesting.
  6. I second this. I was also gonna say Zefy is someone you should talk to because he swapped a EJ series motor into a Gen 1 Brat. Also think he did the suspension and other such things like you did. I would love to see some detailed pictures of what you did because I wouldn't mind doing this to my Brat. I'm more or less interested in what you did for the mounting the front/rear legacy suspension. If you decide to make some custom brackets/kit I would be interested in purchasing these from you. I understand there would be some cutting/welding on my part, but I am truly interested in seeing how you got this all to fit properly. -Aaron
  7. Hey, I just saw this. I haven't been on this forum/had time to pull parts from that car in a long while. All go take a look at the door cards today and get back to you about them. The hood on the car is not perfectly straight. It's close, but it almost looks like it came lose and flipped up into the window at some point and got bent back into shape. Hinges I'm not sure about. All let you know when I find out about the door cards. The trim around the bed is decent, but not perfect. I can get you some pictures if you like or if your still interested because I mean this is only what 4 months old? haha. All let all this stuff go super cheap if you pick it up.

  8. So did this work for you and how much did it run you? I know this is an older post, but this is exactly what I need right now before WCSS haha.
  9. I was looking to eliminate some of these vacuum lines and such to reduce the clutter on the intake manifold. My 79 Brat pretty was pretty much just the carb and I would love to get it down to just that. The picture is of a EA81 84 Subaru GL wagon 4x4 d/r intake manifold and I wanna know what I can get rid of and not effect gas mileage or drive-ability. Or could I possibly swap my EA71 79 Brat carb onto this manifold. Oh I don't have to worry about emissions on my car in Oregon due to it's age. -Aaron
  10. Sounds good, let me know when works best for you All give you a call in a bit, thanks. And to everyone else thanks for your helpful responses!
  11. I think I have my answer, but I just want a yes from some one, because it sounds to me like there are a couple ways to do this. I've heard that you can use the ea82 flywheel, but you have shave the ea81 housing to make it fit. I also hear that you don't have to do this? Which is correct? I hear you can use the ea81 "large" 4wd flywheel with a ea82 turbo clutch kit. I hear with this though since the step between a ea82 flywheel and a ea81 is different that you might start slipping sooner due to the fact that the ea81 pressure plate is deeper then if you use a ea82 pressure plate. I have a 4wd "large" ea81 flywheel that came out a of a 84 non turbo GL wagon with a 4 speed d/r. I'm just saying this so anyone can correct me if I don't have a "large" flywheel. So to the point I can use my ea81 flywheel with a ea82 clutch kit? Could I not just use a ea81 d/r clutch kit? This I never read about I am just wondering. Are there any other options I can go with?
  12. Ok, good it wasn't just me! I thought I had been completely cut off from this site or something. Anyone know what exactly happened??
  13. For both sides its about $60 with shipping(I guessed one of the many zips you guys have over there in Indy, so it will be somewhere close to that) for centric rotors. There the same rotors knecht's orders. Decent quality, nothing to fancy, they do get the job done though. Don't know how much they would run you at a autoparts store there. Rockauto is really good when your buy a lot of stuff or there close out items. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php
  14. Possibly a small rock or something stuck in between the rotor and pad, or it could be your pads are pretty worn down and that is the metal pieces rubbing on the rotor to let you know you need to replace them.
  15. Anyone??? Any suggestions at all? I really don't wanna pull the motor if I don't have to. Any other ideas on what it could be?
  16. ^^^^ He is correct about the ej22t having two vents. The oil return line people have been talking about is on the passenger side head on the back. What turbo is it? Does it have a 90* bend inlet on the intake side? Does it have VF11 on it?
  17. Here's the deal, my clutch started slipping, so I pulled the motor and installed a new clutch. Had some difficulty getting the splines to line up correctly on the motor and finally got it. I tried just turning the motor over with a wrench and couldn't do it and thought this was weird at the time(the tranny was out of gear.) I got everything back together and installed. I go to turn it over and it turns over and starts up for a few seconds, but it didn't last long because there was no fuel left in the system and it was still sucking it through. Was able to do this a few times and all the sudden it just stopped and would make a thud/clunk noise. I've had this happen a few times and I was thinking it was possibly a bad connection to the starter. I clean everything and tried it again, same deal. I tried jumping the power straight to the start as well and it did the same thing. I also tried turning the crank over by hand at this point again and it still wont turn freely even when out of gear. I'm 99.99% sure I installed the clutch correctly, this is not the first one I have done. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. I really don't wanna pull the motor out again even though it only takes an 45 minutes.
  18. Hmmm, was your blinker on? It almost sounds like your alternator might be slowly going bad, though maybe not. Just when my alternator went bad I would turn on the blinker and everything would turn off and on with the blinker. Rather amusing till I couldn't make it to the autoparts store in time.
