  1. Welcome! Feel free to post some of your stuff up. I would love to see it. I'm trying to talk my dad into getting an old Vanagon again and swapping in a ej22.
  2. That thing is incredible! Nice find, I hope you enjoy it. I sure would. You weren't lying about being able to eat off of that engine.
  3. Not necessarily, you can always notch your N/A x-member to fit. A hammer works great. You will need to weld in a plate because the metal doesn't stretch to well haha. Though my friend didn't weld in a plate and he is still running it that way with no issues, but I think he's an idiot. I know your dead set on a ej25, but the ej22t(Legacy SS motor) pretty much makes the same HP and TQ stock. Also one of the best Subaru blocks ever to build on to make massive amounts of power. You can always upgrade to DOHC like I did on my SS block.
  4. Thanks, I know all that I just am not sure this the plug. Though it should be. It just has more wires going to it then I'm used to. Though I don't see what other plug it could be. The clock wiring branches off of this one and there are no other plugs around(my car didn't come with a radio.) So can anyone tell me if this is the actual plug? Because there are other colors besides the colors you just said above. That is why I am confused and what a diagram or something.
  5. Anyone have this by chance? I have a manual, but I looked through it a good 5 times and could not find the diagram for the radio in there, Just all the other wiring in the car. I'm trying to install and after-market stereo. I do have a volt meter and could figure out what wires do what on the plug, but that would be time consuming and if one of you guys had a picture or be able to tell me what each wire is on the plug, that would be awesome! -Aaron
  6. You could always do the coffee can mod. Because the new 90* bend your gonna get is bound to crack really quick, if not when your putting it on. You can always just JB weld that crack up. It's really rather worse less unless you have a TMIC, but it does bring air into the engine bay and there is a chimney that covers the turbo and it funnels air into that to cool the turbo, so yes it does do something, but the actual effects are minimal to none.
  7. Sorry for the crazy delay. He already got rid of the ea71 He moved and had to clean out his garage and at the time I didn't have room for it either, so he just scrapped it... I would love to take it off your hands, but I don't have any money and don't need another project car haha. Could always swap a JZ motor into the Supra or a 7M-GTE. I have two friends here that have done these swaps. One has finished his 7M swap and my other buddy should have his JZ swap in a couple of weeks.
  8. Nice post count ^^^^^(if you don't see it before it changes it's 666.) Anyways, is it just me or am I the only one that has heard bad things about using sealer in the engine? Not saying don't do it. I just wouldn't...
  9. Nice collection of rolla's you have there if I'm not mistaken. I see a mk2 Supra over there in the corner to. Got any plans for that? Sucks about the motor. I had a friend here in Corvallis that would have given you a complete EA71 motor.
  10. I would lean towards the control arm too. When I got hit on the front left side of my car it crunched everything and bent the control arm. I was amazed that it could bend so easy.
  11. Looks like you have your hands full with that rust. Looks like a fun project though!
  12. I hope all works out for you and you find her, that sucks. If some how she makes it down to Oregon all let ya know.
  13. Nope, your not swapping trannys or rear diffs. Changing a engine doesn't change your gearing.
  14. Kinda cool, wish they had done a nice job the first time though
  15. Another good visual and thing to have around is a Haynes or Chilton manual laying around. It walks you through it step by step and usually has some visual pictures of were things are supposed to be set. That's how I did my timing with my 22t block and 20g heads. Though I have heard Haynes has some wrong torque settings in the book or something along those lines.
  16. Damn this sounds like fun! To bad I still need tires. Iv owned the Brat for 2 years and have driven it a total of 30 miles. Also I just started it up again after 2 years of sitting. Still purrs like a kitten though. I haven't put any miles on it, so I don't trust it and prior to me owning the car it sat in a field for 4 years. I hate mice now...
  17. I ran 205's and slightly rubbed on stock suspension, but on coilovers they didn't. I am running 225/50/16r:banana: and don't have rolled fenders, but I am using coilovers still, so I can't say about stock suspension. Oh this is on a 94 Impreza wagon. Not that it matters.
  18. It could be the cat as said, but they make decent money on selling those. If you are thinking about deleting it. Just take off the heat shield covers and take a nice big hammer and hit it a few times and it should break it up and you should be able to dump out the contents Or you could just cut it out and weld in a straight pipe. Oh and almost 99.9% of shops will not take out a cat for you and put in a piece of pipe because that is "illegal", so you will have to find some one that has a welder and do it your self or your friend.
  19. Wrong, I'm guessing you don't have cruise control correct? Because that is your plug for it. The cruise control unit usually sits right there. The maf plug is different and yes 94's had mafs. Same with all EJ series motors. The mafs were usually Jec's. If you need help replacing your AC unit I can help you with that. I also have AC unit I can sell you 2 in fact haha.
  20. If you want one I got plenty of pop bottles you can have haha.
  21. To bad you don't live closer. We could have done that in my driveway and had that out and the heads off in day I love working on Subies.
  22. Hey, just found this thread. Might help! http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=89394&highlight=fuse+panel
  23. I need to know this exact same thing haha. Don't have a cover and I just pulled out all the fuses to replace them.... Stupid me.
