  1. PIB is P'tree Industrial Boulevard. yes... all 'roos need a lift.
  2. thanks guys. i'll take the bottom of the backseat out and remove that door panel to take a look what's goin on this weekend. thanks again! Eugene.
  3. Any ideas on this guys? My passenger rear door won't open.. from either the outside or the inside.. in either the locked or unlocked positions. I think what happened was one of my friends was trying to get out of the car with the door either locked or the almost locked position. Thanks. Eugene.
  4. I live in P'tree Corners/Norcross.. the place that I was wheelin' at is off PIB.

    Offroad parts?

After today's wheelin', I'm considering putting a front bumper onto my EA82. I could fab a front bumper, but does anyone know of any front bumper would be a direct fit with perhaps some modification on the mounting? Maybe something off an import pickup truck? Thinking about modifying the rear as well... Also... I'm looking at the car from underneath.. it doesn't really look like there are any good locations to put rocksliders. Cliffnotes: Fab or buy front bumper w/ winch location? Rear bumper? Is it possible to build rocksliders? Thanks.
  6. Well.. today was my first weekend day off in about 3 months. The last time I took the GL out was in October. I hit some trails off some powerline roads today, I hadn't been there before. I didn't have any friends come along with me this time with their rigs so I was pretty careful and a little bit more cautious. Here of some pics I took when it was safe for me to get out. All the pics where taken when I got out to spot a path to get through somewhere (which was pretty often since I was by myself). There were some pretty big drops for the the GL. There was one that was a 3ft almost straight drop into a creek. Some pretty good climbs and decents as well. The GL did really well and I was really happy with the superswamper TSLs. The really flat open sections were on top of some really big hills with some climbs that all I saw was the hood. The clutch-kicking technique works great when coming outta deep mudholes. These were taken after coming out of a big mudhole. This was taken after I got out of a smaller but deep mudhole and was about to drop into another one. I almost got stuck here because the front skidpan was caught.. I had to back up a little and get a little run at it to get out. These two pics where from when I had to get out and take a look at the best path down a slope that was rutted out in the center. Thanks for looking! Eugene.
  7. thanks! i'm gonna give it a shot this weekend.. i'll let y'all know how it turns out.
  8. won't retract? Hehe. I have an 87 GL wagon and my cargo cover refuses to retract anymore. I think I might have over-extended it... I sprained my cargo cover. Thanks! Eugene.
  9. If you have a 1g Legacy.. Outback springs and struts will raise your vehicle considerably. Here's my friend's 1995 Outback that is basically a Legacy with some Outback badging on it... we lifted it on new KYB Outback struts and 1997 Outback springs.. brought the car up easily 2.5" and then we put some oversized tires on it..
  10. looks like a blast.. how far did the brat get up that hill?

    alabama?

most of the trails that i've tried so far.. i did it in my stock Outback and i could only go so far.. before having to turn around. it would be great to hit some forestry service fire trails. would anyone be opposed to a get together sometime?

    alabama?

i bought roundeye's old rig that came out of Dothan, Alabama. I'm located in Atlanta. Are there any good legal areas that we might be able to go play? I know of a buncha trails up in the N. Ga. mountains...
  14. wow. that's great. I'm very jealous.. the only thing here for my lifted EA82 is mud... and wow.. what a pain it is to clean. i'd rather drive in deep snow all day.. regardless of the cold.
  15. brucey... do both! is the H6 in yet?
  16. hee hee at the stickers on some of the GLs. looks like a good time tho!
  17. Here's a pic of the Type 1 rear trailing arm setup from one side. Also.. here's a pic of a deluxe bus with IRS from a beetle.
  18. OMG and you just got it too! Wow!
  19. Hehe so I could get out to take the pic. Plus I just wanted to play around a little and not have to pull out the towstrap and come-along. Needed to be home soon. Yes.. you better charge those batteries!
  20. and it doesn't involve lotion. LOL. This used to by Roundeye's old rig... it's great. Don't worry about the snorkel, it will be back.. working on something new! Heavy duty front bumper to come shortly too.
  21. yeah that's not too far.. wish there were more guys.. we could do a nice meet in the mountains and hit some dirt!
