well it took me a little while but finally got a weber on my 87 hatch. started it up and nearly woke up the whole neighborhood. oh well it was because of the 4k idle so i have a dumb question which is the idle adjust screw and anything else i should check that would make it have such a high idle can't really work on it anymore or else i might have the cops knocking

got a adapter plate and a weber today for free.. it was on a 79 carona will this adapter work and where can i get gaskets for it ?

is there any other places for fuses and links cause they are all intact by the battery box or can they still look bad and be good ?

putting a diffrent alternator in tonight and got distracted and forgot to unplug the battery and arced it out now i have no dashlights or head lights nothing that is operated by the ignition switch i think i might have blown a fusable link but im unsure at this point all the fuses are good, but where are the fusable links in a 87 hatch?

the problem is it would cost me more in gas and time to drive to you than just to order the parts. there although it would be worth it to see some really cool rigs unless your gonna be close to me some time soon?

yea there was lots of gunk. this might make it easyer to rebuild the carb now is that all i need to know about the carb is what kind it is? and is there a fuel mixture adjusting screw ? thanks spokanesoob

yea i dont know either how can you tell the diffrence i guess is what im asking is there somewhere on the carb that says it? i look good and hard but i could be blind you never know.

Its the name that carburator game its so addicting trouble is i get mad when i cant figure it out! yea! so whats this carburator mabey some one with a little more experence on this matter could be loads of help. maybe that would makes some sense because the lady i bought it from her son in law put a newish motor in it. how can i tell?

installing front speakers on my hatch and noticed that the ecu isn't hooked up. runs ok but not as good as it could. hooked up the ecu and the check engine light that i didnt know i had came on. no idea how to get codes but connected some green connectors and the led on the ecu didnt come on. im stumped why some one would do this? its got AC but someone removed all of the stuff mabey thats why? its an 87 ea81 help is greatly appericated

anybody know of a place in Spokane that will make me a drive shaft fairly cheap?

well i didn't know about the 89 ea 81s guess i need to spend some more time around here lol. Bought it off of a lady who bought it and didnt really use it. got it for 317 bucks. There isn't too much rust, the drivers side back inner wheel well is starting to cancer about 2 inches long but other than that its all on the surface. only a couple dents 1 big one about 3x5 inches id say and a couple of other small "minor" dents. the tranny is going south first gear wont engage and thats about it it was really of calling my name in a way. i want to do a 5 spd d/r swap but not really sure of what that entails i know something bout swapping clutches and lengthen the drive shaft or welding a carrier bearing is welding the only way? its gonna be painted any color ideas ? thanks spokanesoob

so i just bought a new hatch today im totaly pumped to get working on it its got 45k on the rebuilt motor (soposedly) entire car has 212*** miles on it had it one day and i like it a whole bunch its an 87 i didnt even know that they made a 87 hatch with a ea 81 4 speed single range

I'm gonna be getting a ea 82 wagon pretty soon (i hope) and want to 4x4 so my question is where do you get a kick butt skid plate like some of the members have? make one? buy one ? or say some magic words and do a voodoo dance around your all knowing Subaru?? same question for the bumpers thanks a lot spokanesoob man those thing look cool
