  1. or possiably the relay itself
  2. "The blower already gave up on settings 1 & 2 a long time ago but I think that's a different issue, one I wasn't concerned about as long as I had setting 3 & 4 working. " I was refering to the "settings 1 and 2 gave up" portion of his remarks
  3. we could nail it if you have pics ? just a thought
  4. the blower problem sounds like the relay is bad, its one of 4 round metal relays under the left dash panel above the fuse box also the blower speed problem is caused by the resistor block the resistor coils are burned out. thats under the passenger side dash , one of the screws for the blower motor mounts this block
  5. yes, the only thing different would be a turbo axle, 25 spline turbo 23 spline non turbo
  6. good gawd man, your taking alot of interior apart , why for ??, awsome brat
  7. I abuse my loyale , i have 15 inch Chevy 6 bolt rims , and I'm running 205 60 15 , snow tires. about 24 inch over all diameter, we don't have huge mountains here in Michigan. so allot of torque isnt that necessary , you wont be spitting up 30 ft roosters in the mud . but loyales rock, and deserve to be punished.
  8. i used them in the clay mud, they suck fot that. they load up too much, but there awsome in the snow and ice
  9. i always shift the button wile going straight, and not while the wheels are spinning, not sure if its right , but it seems to work for me. and as said before , not on dry pavement
  10. i do that too, only it has to be snowing when i do it
  11. cool so there is no choke, maby he has an IAC , or TPS malfunction
  12. 1297 P.O.E. i think they mean P.O.S.
  13. i thought all they had was ea82 turbo engines, unless you have a turbo set up, that would be bad
  14. i thought all loyales were mpfi, not carburetor ?
  15. the rusty grease and scoring could be from a previous bearing job
  16. yep regulator is going out, good time to do a GM alternator swap. there alot cheaper and last longer
  17. i did the cam seals and orings, the engine was out , i pressure washed it , it is defiantly leaking from the head, is there a gasket for the cylinders to the block, i only have the head gasket
  18. the left hedlight switch , thoes switches look like nipples to me
  19. + 1 on draino, you can have some sort of mineral scale buildup, muriatic acid works good too, just be careful of splashing it in your face, sounds like you have it isolated from your engine already, good luck
  20. just replaced the cam ,crank seal valve cover gaskets, even the pan gasket, no oil leaks for the first month, now I see an oil trail from the head gasket, no compression problems, no coolant leaks, can an ea82 leak oil from the head gasket ???, never had this problem on the 3 other front reseal jobs Ive done
  21. just Google "SJR lifts" he's a Bord member, in bellingham WA,
  22. they took out her left nipple, the brutes, who did all the switch pulling?
  23. my loyale did the same exact thing, i found a used auto trans off ebay for 350 bucks shipped. took about 3 hours to put it in, and bam, 30 k miles later, still driving it, if it happens again im gonna convert it to a dual range stick, alot better gas milage.. good luck
