THNX FOR ALL THE REPLIES AND INTEREST,WE SOLD IT LOCALLY FOR $3K...........alright got pics for whomever wants em now, and remember im not sure what we want for it,just putting it out there and the highest offer(if high enough) ill email,and if we dont get what we think its worth we`ll take it with us or put on ebay,just wanted to give u guys first crack,and see if anybody makes a DECENT offer.thnx alright guys u all know me i got a 1985 brat that i put the 1980 wagon motor and tranny in so now its a front wheel drive 1.8 motor with roughly 140 k on it.truck body is in good shape and the interior is also good,needs drivers seat springs all wore out,automatic,push button start and starts everytime,third eye installed has a/c and blows cold,but it makes the engine run too hot. was undercoated before i got it,and there is only a little surface rust around the chrome bed trim at the ends by the tailgate,which also doesnt have the trim and is painted black cause its a used 1 from the j/y...and the only reason it has that rust is because its been sitting in the backyard for almost a yr.we just took it out friday to put the cv`s in and get it out of the yard,and by the way charged up the battery for 2 hrs. turned over the motor twice to get the oil pumped up then turned on the iggy and it started right up has 2 sets of rims and tires the chrome 1`s and the brat alum. mags both in good shape,have the 2 seats)only for the bed not the frame.just put new cv joints on it friday and 1 tie rod,runs good always has but needs alot of work,but nothing that affects the driving,just paint and body finishing up..no rust underneath ethier.we are selling our house and moving and with my 3 other cars we just dont have the room or time,PLEASE DONT ASK ME TO SELL ANYTHING OFF IT AND SO ON..im selling all or none,u let me know what u think and if we get a good price we`ll sell it, if not we`ll take it with us,im thinking of putting it on ebay also but wanted to give u first crack.im in st.pete,florida 33713 and in no hurry we just listed our house so we figure a few months anyway. thnx and let me know ur thoughts and offers bb

i bought a new-er radiator today and took it down to have tested and cleaned and got me a new thermostat,will get them in this wknd. and let u guys know thnx bb

hey cap,im no expert as u can see from all my posts,but i heard on subaru as well as mazda since i have both,that u should change the timing belts every 60,000 miles regardless of what they look like, just throwing in my 2 cents, hope this helps. bb

ok guys, yes the a/c works and the 2 fans are electric and work well.the water in the radiator is circulating well with the a/c on or off, the belts are fine and everything is turning as it should.i just had the heads redone about three months ago and new gaskets put on then.. under any load in this heat the truck never gets hot until the a/c is on?i havent replaced the thermostat yet cause i figured if it didnt get hot otherwise it was ok.but i will and ill clean the radiator but as i said a second ago,it runs fine and cool until the a/c is on..but ill try the 3 suggestions u gave me and ill let u know in a couple of daz if it help. thnx again beachbum oh and to answer an earlier question(why do i have a/c anyway) this is florida man its freaking hot here.93 today

1985 brat 1.8 runs perfect in traffic at lights runs good and cool,if i turn on my a/c it goes right up to hot the highest point?timing is dead on never loses any fluids,tranny or otherwise,fans r all working and spinning fast,i can drive it all day around town and it stays cool,but as soon as i turn on the a/c it gets hot to the point the valves will start clanging,and as soon as i shut off the a/c goes back to cool and no valve noise,i just had the heads done about three months ago,and as i said the timing is right on,fans r working. what else can i check? or what is causing this? thnx for any and all help as usual.. beachbum

i just downloaded it to try for some gaskets this wknd,ill let u know how it does...but it looks like it might be a good idea,we`ll see huh?

hey woohoo, i had the same problem as u and i went to radio shack got the switch and it worked fine,it was a little different than the 1 i bought at the hardware,wrots of wruck:)

a set of 5 lug disc and drums that will fit an 85 brat? i got a nice set of universal 5 lug rims, but as u all know the brat is 4..will something from a five lug subaru fit? and if so just email me with a total, thnx bb

just a note, have u ever tried freeze 12? i use it in my brat and its s cold as the old r-12 was and its only a couple of bucks more a can than 134. just letting u know u have alternatives.
