Car accident Stories
faithless88 replied to faithless88's topic in Non Soob Cars and Bikes Discussion
I have something like that but that is only when cops are behind me and that's because I got rear ended by one go figure of all the cars driving a cop hit me. -
Now that I know that number I don't have to go through some 100+ diffrent numbers to find the one I need.
-
Yes I know but I could make it functional with out much problem. I do know how to do that so I might just do that.

Throwin this out there for what it's worth...

From what I have seen and read here I think any ej series can go into a ea chassie with little to no problem. I'm looking at doing a ej20 5mt into my 92 ea82 5mt Loyale. By no means do I know much about it but I think soob did a good job at making pretty much everything interchangable. -

sorry about this. -
While I was wondering my auto parts store today I saw a scoop that you can just place onto the hood with some adhesive. How well do these work as in just how long do they last?

I was moving to Cali when about Fillmore or about 1 1/2 hrs from Salt Lake this happened. All of us me, my mother, my step dad and his brother all of us had been up for 18+ hours getting stuff ready to go. When we got to Provo about 20mi outside of Salt Lake he did't want to drive anymore because he was tired. Me being more trustworthy of a driver(his brother had a hit and run and suspened linces) I took over and kept going but being up for so long I started falling asleep at the wheel(yes I know very bad thing) when I hit the wake up strips and over corrected sending me to the other side than over correcting yet again but clipped the edge of the road and sent it flying. The car did 1 end over end as in back end flying over the front then front over the back onto to it's wheels and started barrel rolling a highway patrol officer and an ambulance were coming the other way from me and saw this all happen. The officer stopped counting the rolls after 7 but he said is was probally about a 12 or so. So they got us the the hospital about 4 miles away from where it happened. I was still concious when they got to us but my step dad's borther was out cold so he was made priorty over me. But later my concusion was raised due to symptons later in the week. Both of us had concusions, cuts and brusies. He got a broken arm and myself ended up with a broken jaw and being wired shut for a month oh that was joyus fun. Also took out a 1/4 mile of fencing with that jeep. Also wanted to add only reason why both of us are still alive is because of our seat belts, so do buckle up. -
Ya the 4af is carbed and the 4afe is fuel injected. only downside to these engines is they don't have anything performance wise, but they do get up and go I have had to 100+. Only other downside I have found is some parts to replace in the bay to be quite annoying ex alternator the ac lines wrap around it.

I was the driver in that, and a highway officer was watching he counted 1 end over end and stopped after 7 rolls. Still think my funnest by far is being rear ended by a cop. -
The 300 cost does from the header down, replacing the catlatic and muffler for the same size. As for the 500 that is for a new header, catlatic, and muffler at the bigger size. The pipping just before the muffler rust competley through and the muffler was only hanging by a hanger. The new muffler would cost me about 60, the catlatic would be about 120, and the rest is for piping and instlation.

The motor has about 225k miles on it. If I'm doing that much mine as well do the rest while I'm at it just take the punch for the cost and time and have it be happy again instead of just spitting(leaking not spitting) it's oil at me. If I am going to do the whole job what would it intell as in time, money, anger when the car is winning:-p I'm use to working on a toyota which for the most part everything is easy to get.

For now I will just put pics up but will get the story up later. All I will say is for now I'm luckly to be alive after this one. When I add the story I will put descerptions of the photos.

Gonna look at it better in the day tomorrow but from your sketch it is were the cam case meets the block on the driver side, mass majority if not all of the oil marks are on the left side only problemn with the right side is the torn boots and have put grease into the bay. And from what I have seen there is no oil from the pcv, but will check in better lighting. I double checked the code and it is for the purge control sylenoid. Also what would be a good way to go through my oil system and check everything(more so step by step for oil on it not familer to soobs). Already planning on getting degreaser and cleaning the engine to check for bad seal spots. Will also get pics of my newly acquired ramps they are monsters:lol: And will get pics up.

I would say it all depends on how much there is and what color and smell there is to it.

Why did Darwin have to come up:rolleyes: I like the idea of roads keeping idiot drivers down. Kinda like highway 3 here in utah one of the top deadlests(or however you spell it) in the nation. -
White Smoke, Smelling Antifreeze...
faithless88 replied to Sbiessel's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Strong smell of antifreeze would normally mean a leak somewhere. If the white smoke is like mine it would mean oil hitting the catlatic converter. This is just my $.02. And welcome to USMB, these guys and gals have been very helpfull for me. -
I have an '88 toyota corrola sr5 with a 4af in it(yes it sucks for power but it does have balls) anyway I need to fix the exhaust and the seat belts (thank you very much dumb dumb(dog)) How hard is it to get the seat belts to be changed and the exhaust would cost me about 300 for the same size pipe or 500 to double the size of it, kinda leaning to the same size since it gets almost 30mpg:slobber: compared to my Loyale at 22mpg on a good day. And this is my 100th post first mile stone in post count:banana:
