  1. Just curious what is the year range we can use and what is the bonus of this. I understand for offroad lights and a winch. But what is the output of the factory alternator.
  2. I did just drag this thing through the mud and slop a few weeks ago.
  3. Sorry its spfi but its not dieseling. If you turn it off before this it would just shut off nice and smooth, but now its rough. Like it wants to diesel but just shuts off rough. It doesnt keep running though.
  4. I just noticed this today. I used to turn it off, fine like normal. Now it shuts off hard and shakes the whole car when it does. The 1st time it did this i started it back up and taped the gas and it backfired real bad. But didnt do it like that again but revin it up a couple times i can hear it backfireing through the exhaust. Its been exceptionally humid around here lately but i dont know if that a probabble reason. 1988 subaru DL buy the way. The overall running of it has been poor lately. Seems i need to really give it a kick to get it to move. Whats a possible problem i could search for. Ben
  5. Im thinking Lift with a brush bar. Nothing radical 2 inches. But this new paintjob is going to look decent so why not go with a whole different look. Butt i duno whos with me.
  6. Hey i notice that motor is still pretty muddy.
  7. I did that to the trim. My plan is to fill in the holes and just have the trim in the middle of the car. Im not feelin the alloys either. Seems 14 inch wheels only look good with 27inch mud tires on them. When i finish up the other 2 wheels ill take some more pictures and have a better debate.
  8. No i understand this but if you put 2 fingers on the window you can move it back and forth.
  9. Ok i removed all door panels so i could remove the door trim on the outside. I noticed as of late tht my drivers window isnt sealing properly. I can hear the wind whistling buy as i drive. Anywho since ive taken the door panel and the trim off i can notice the window rattling down in the door. Is this a common thing or just due to age. Is it possible i might just be able to tighten something up or is the glue comming off the window glass thats hooked to the track. Its an 1988 DL wagon with manual window. Thanks Ben
  10. I can barely keep mine in one piece and you guys are choppin them up. Unreal.
  11. You mean these. As soon as i get brave enough there getting put on. I want to finish up my last 2 wheels first.
  12. Ive heard GE Nighthawks are great as well. Whiter then the silverstars. You cant buy them at any store though. Only on amazon.
  13. This thing got wayyyy off topic. Which one is better. The black, or white.
  14. Any chance if i bring my car you will do the body work for me.
  15. Theres always arizona and nevada.
  16. I would like to point also that no one on here is ripping on you. These ea82 turbo cars are complicated and unreliable. Even novice subaholics have problems. The slightest miscare of your cooling system and you overheat your car. And its not like your chevy celiberty or ford f150 where if you overheat it alittle youll be ok. No when you overheat these engines the headgaskets are dont for at the least. Pray you dont need to get any mill work done. IF taken care of they can be an ok engine but very week jackets in the motor and heads if im right Gd. Leads to bad coolent circulation which means warpage and a whole ton of other problems. Im not saying ditch your car, but im saying prepair for some heartache because ive seen alot of that from the turbo engines. Good luck buddy and remember the USMB is here for you, not against you.
  17. I know your jokeing and i am laughing with you but its really sad. Once any vehicle around here starts rusting it goes quickly. Ask McBrat how long his rust free coast cars last driveing year round. It Sucks.
  18. Ill definately try to make it out there next year. I think some iowa guys want to go out there and look for rust free subys as well.
  19. Next year is definately a possibility. What do wagons run out there. Dual Range. Maybe i can drive out with an iowa buddy and drive something back.
  20. That is way cool GD and i appreciate the offer but there is no way i can make WCSS. I have no vacation time left, i dont even have xtra money to drive out there even if i did. I guess im just doin the best i can with what ive got.
  21. I know GD and i would tend to agree with you but its all ive got. Its my daily driver and im just throwing whatever i can at it to make it even look somewhat decent to drive. When he is dead i will take all the good ive put into him and put it on another car. I know what you mean GD but its all ive got. I just dont know how many more iowa winters the old guidster can take.
  22. LOL it is rusty just the black hides alot of it. IF you look closely you can see the rust hole in the fender. I duno it will clean up i just dont know about the look. I wont make my final decision until i get the other 2 wagon wheels cleaned up and on the car. I cant make any decision with 2 goofy pugs on the back.
  23. I think it has a mad max kinda look to it now. All i need is the pipes running through the hood and a guy with a mowhawk sitting on the roof. Black Bottom Regular Bottom Got a new dent free, rust free, wrinkle free hood as well. Still not sure about likein the pugs but well see after i get them cleaned up. They do make it handle like a go kart now though.
