  1. Might half to buy one from my ole buddy dennis and the parts wagon i gave him. Im pretty sure that one was good. Was the one at the junkyard a bright red DL
  2. Yea ill just half to head out to wrench and go to see if there are any decent ones there. New ones are to expensive.
  3. Might be the same but mine is an ea82
  4. Tried finding this deal on rockauto. Could not locate.
  5. Ok, so, im excited im pumped. Im going to work on my car this weekend. Im at my garage checkin things over, going to top off the coolant. Check the cooland and its full, humm a day ago it needed some added. So i burp it a bit and see some bubbles comming out. I look at my fan, i dont ever remember it actually ever turning on. I drive to work and let the old girl get nice and hot. Pop the hood and have a look. Fan doesnt turn on, humm my ac clutch fan must be cooling my engine. So i get down on all 4s to see about removing this to inspect it. Oh my my my. Many many missing fins, i can actually see through it. Lots of green blotches and spots. My thinking is this is done for. SO heres my idea. Remove the radiator, both fans. Flush heater core and replace thermastat. Then remove power steering pump and remove iac and clean. Re attach iac and power steering pump. Then put good junkyard radiator (if i can find one) in the car and fine 1 huge electric fan out of another car and wire it to run all the time. Im thinking something from a ford taurus. Nice and thin. Also noticed while it was running today there is a whineing. Not like anything ive heard before. I ear checked the passanger side head and it seems to be coming from the front. Timeing belt idler. Its going to be a long winter. Its to bad i dont have more money to buy the timeing belt kit, it would be a perfect time to change out the timeing belt idler and pullys, waterpump and oil pump with the radiator and everything else out of the way. I got all my parts in, i can tell the cap and rotor will be easy. Exhaust manifold gaskets will be easy if i can get the exhaust bolts off. Valve cover gaskets will be a pain in the butt because of the ac and they are covered head to toe with a thick layer of grease. On top of all this put on my rear brakes, blast and clean up my newly aquired pugs. AND finish the body work on my car before winter. Man i need some help.
  6. I would sell you the brakes back if i didnt need them so bad. I might have a set of pugs to sell you if you would like to purchase them, or trade for a set of 15 inch perhaps. And id be up to hauling some crap for you if we all could get together.
  7. im up for a iowa meet. After or before castina. Maybe out at micks new place for a bbq. I do need to return that tool to you.
  8. No place is offroad friendly for my suby. So when we going out to see your new place and tear up your yard.

  10. I know i HATE ramsey. I think im going to try it anyways.
  11. Im bumping this post. I was affraid this would happen, i picked up a becks arnley from rock auto. And it looks exactly like the one on the left. IM calling ramsey.
  12. Im suprised no one has chimed in lately. Welcomem aboard. Thank you for giving exact information about your car it will help. The idleing iratically problem seems somewhat common. It could be a number of things like bad iac, the maf might be dirty, or the coolent temp sensor. Others will chime in on how to check them. As for what parts to buy ngk plugs and wires, or magnacore if you want to get crazy. oem t-stat is a must. Cap and rotor should be oem as well but people have had luck with other brands. Same goes with the coil. As far as the timeing belts, i havent done this job myself but there are several write ups on here and it is a bit overwhelming at first but very dooable with hand tools. Not a bad idea to address a couple more possible issues while your in there. As far as good subaru mechanics in oreagon, well welcome to the club. This place is full of mostly oreagon and washington subaru nuts. They will help you, lift your car, drag you out to the woods, break it, drag it back, fab it up to something from a frakenstein movie and then give it back to you. I think your in good hands. As far as parts if you have a good local subaru dealership then good for you but rockauto.com or 1stsubaru.com are good as well. Others will chime in. IM a picture whore so this thread is worthless with out pictures.
  13. Bump im either ordering from rock auto or 1st subaru in about 30 minutes, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  14. woah how did you get a fire extinguisher to do paint stripping.
  15. If you drive your car everyday, keep it out of the mud.
  16. LOL its ok, my weekends are xtra full as well. Thats why i could use the help to get it done in one day. Who knows, but i need to do this then flush the heatercore before winter so i make sure had have good heat. Then finish the body yad yada. Anyways hopeing this is oem. Im going to see what other people say then depending purchase it all tonight. Ben
