  16. Man we had a s10 shop truck that we beat on all the time. Delivering boiler parts and pipe all over the state. Things like shifting without the clutch. Putting 750lb tanks in the back. That thing was a trooper. I only wish i would of bought it when he traded it in. Was a good truck with 200thousand miles on it. And it only had the 2.8
  17. ahhh sod. That would of been a perfect place to hide another subaru.

  19. Darn it about the rain. Ill still show up. Boys keep your cell phones on, i think ive got some problems and only a long trip on the highway is going to see. Ill be picking up a new cell phone as well. My old pre paid one is junk. Is this a groop goodies fest or eat what ya brung. Either way im kool.
  20. Youve come along way padawon. Your masters would be proud.
  21. aww man i had a volvo 740 turbo. It was a pooch. You want small and mighty. Either small rwd foreign cars. Or mustang, small pickup. Lots of aftermarket for these vehicles
  22. I would half to lean to american small trucks just on the rust issue alone. I had an isuzu and a mitsubishi mighty max. Both good runners but the frames rotted out before the bodys did. It was horrable, i couldnt even sell my isuzu because if someone hit a bump hard enough offroading it it would of broke in half. Thats terrible. Ill give you credit on some of the lousy products american car companys have put out. But theres an s10 someone drives where i work. i could crawl into the bed from the side if it where a huge 2ft hole is. But the frame is solid. I guess take it what it is.
  23. What amazes me GD is that time after time again you will take the time to put out detailed explinations on these vehicles. Over and over again newbe buy newbe. Anywho. Like i said, i agree with GD and The Loyale. Finding a new engine is easier then fixing the one you have. I dont know about what automotive knowledge you have but if youve got to hone and deck a block. Resurface the heads and seal the engine. Then whats the point. This isnt a hotrod ford or chevy. Its a econobox. Even the best turbo versions in these types of cars werent very good. GD is suggesting you get a legacy and where thats all and good they are a bit more pricey. Youve just got to look around. Personaly i have a 88 DL and i love it. 200k on a overheated motor is just to much to hastle. If you buy this car and you want to keep it going then i suggest either get a junkyard ea82 motor which will bolt right in. Or go a step further and do the legacy engine swap which is much more complicated. But if your just wanting a cheep beater for winter (these vehicles accel in the snow) buy a junkyard engine, verify its good and toss it in there. Double check the cooling system and there you go. More Pictures Please Ben
  24. Jeeez man you bought a rebuilder thats for sure. Depending on where you are is the ability of parts. I might just go ahead and say with 200k on the clock, instead of putting on new gaskets and not knowing whats in the motor that overheated. Find a low mileage motor from a j/y that you can verify runs and reseal that. New seals and timeing belts. Its not a turbo is it. What year is your loyale. Asking in teh parts wanted section will help abit, lots of people on here have parts wagons. But there in various states. Best Best bet is find a suby person on here to help you get aquanted with your car. Lots of peple have parts and these cars arent usually to expensive for jy parts. Welcome to the club.
