Guido almost bit the Dust today.
So im cluckin along at 35mph on ashworth buy valley highschool. About 2 car lengths back from the light some (blepty blepty Bleep0 in his altima with bling wheels turns right in front of me. I have never asked my car to do anything quickly because its old and i understand. I slam on the brakes and go into a skid. The frontends alittle loose so the wheels turn left as im still slideing to the right. All i see is white and i brace for impact. I had to miss him buy a hair and end up bumping the sidewalk entrance. I had stopped so violently that the car died on me and everything in the back area was thrown up against the seat. I sat there for 30 seconds just takeing it all in. I skidded so long i thought i wore a flatspot in the front tires. Thank goodness no flatspots or problems from slamin and lockin up the brakes. 2 things are clear. I really need to get those back brakes taken care of. I was very very lucky. I kept thinking about how i wouldnt have a car anymore because i would be able to afford a new one. How i might half to miss work or go to the hospital. Im just happy i made it out ok and my car isnt messed up.

Looking for help on a new impreza
I thought of the legys but to big. Remember 85 year old woman. We dont want her driveing anything huge in comparison to here little escort. The imprez is the same size as the car she has now. Just a better motor and the awd. Honestly in her case the simpler the better. NO cd player, heated seats, or sunroof are necessary. She wont use them. The ony thing she really needs is a/c, power windows, and an automatic transmission. Anything else doesnt matter. Just a place to put her flowers. And yes dennis probally height adjustable seats for my 4 1/2 ft grandmother who buy the way would knock your block off if you looked at her funny.)

Looking for help on a new impreza
Kinda funny. My grandma is looking to retire her escort and get a newer car. I asked her what she wanted, something small with a hatch so she can put her flowers in it. I asked her what else she wanted. automatic. I told her about the impreza and she was interested. I told her about the awd how it would be safer for her in the winter and she coudl still get 28 or so mpg. I was wondering what year or even trim package style i should go for or stay away from. Max 10 thousand. this is a 87 year old lady who doesnt need a wrx or a sti. Just the basic awd impreza. Any help on where i could look or what i should be looking for would be greatfull.

Every Year I Try 4th Of July Parade
Just something ive done a couple of times and i thought was fun. Would like who ever would like to here. Brats , sedans, legacys whatever. Just show your apreciation for subarus. If your willing to throw candy thats a plus. My family goes to the windsor heights parade and its nice, not to long. Its a way to show off your ride and throw candy if you have people willign to do so. If no one is going to this year i wont participate. I dont think my car is ready but i would still be willing to drive it in the parade. Anyone in iowa willing to participate. If some people wanted to keep it a brat thing i would be willing to sit in a seat and throw candy.

Thinkin its all connected
Sorry i didnt specify. 1988 subaru dl fuel injection 200k plugs, wires replaced. Fuel filter within the last 3 years, iac cleaned, ive used seafoam in the gastank within the last year. After its warmed up it runs better. Ive had some people say it could be off a tad bit in the timeing. Its always been sluggish from 1st to 2nd. Im thinking cap and rotor. It has the idle when warmed up where it keeps idleing then burping down over and over again. Runs tons better when its in the upper rpm band.

Thinkin its all connected
Ok ive got a new problem with this now. It has a terrible stumble when cold. I almost got tagged in an intersection yesterday with this. If its cold and i take off it will just hardly move at all. It will buck and kick until i push in the clutch and give the engine hell. What else could it possibly be.

Can you drink in the back of a brat?
I dont know about other states but i just heard on the radio yesterday. They asked if you can get cited for drinking in the back of a pickup. The lawyer on the program said that because that is in no way connected to the cab of the vehicle making it accessible to the driver. It is legal to drink in the back of a pickup hence forth makeing it legal at least in iowa do drink and drive down the road in the back of a brat. So there you go.

You probally could get a battery box to put it in with a cover. I saw a guy do that with is wench battery on his traler. Had a cover and 2 notches on the side for the cables to go out on. Worked pretty slick.
