  1. Ok i did my thing and used the search function to no avail. How do you remove the front bumper on ea82 cars. 1988 DL to be exact.
  2. sooooooo leave it off:lol:
  3. Beast, why does your mounting bar have 2 holes when you use only one to bolt it to the engine.
  4. Dude nice job, but we need more pictures. Ill give you alittle help on something. Your wheels are sorta unique for that car. Most if not all subarus like yours came with just regular steel wheels. Those are called the sawblades if im not mistaken and only came on the xts (am i right). You can try to find the center caps for those on here if you like.
  5. radio controlled brats huh. (nerds) j/k
  6. I got around to putting on my new (used) exhaust on. Its so darn quiet, i can hear all the other exhaust leaks now:lol: Anyone else know where i can score some manifold gaskets. Oh and heres something else ive been working on. I swear these backing plates look so clean i dont think they deserve to be on my car. Ruberized Paint. They will never rust again. Oh and put the 1st coat on the bumper this morning.
  7. Also look at the little sentence under GeneralDisorders name at the top of his posts. Thats not a typo. Again Welcome:)
  8. I figured i would document my advances on the cancer on my car and overall improvements im doing do it as i drive it. I dont get to do much with 3 kiddies and a wife but i do what i can. I replace many things my brother neglected to like headlights:lol: 1st thing i did was replace the stereo. I picked this stereo because the green matches the green on the dash. Thats brewer buy the way, hes been ridin with me since 1996. Survived through 20 cars and 3 break ins. Removed front and rear side trim and the mudflaps Found lots more rust after that. So now were current it took me a few weeks but i finally got my wheel sanded primed and painted. But i couldnt put nice wheels on rusty innards so i tossed some red paint on the caliper. Its good for at least 10 more hp. Some preliminary rust work but the stuff comes back faster then i can sand it and fix it. Also have the back bumper sanded and painted flat black, going to put final coats on in a couple days. The last picture is a the next wheel to get worked on and the nice door panels to replace the dry cracked ones in the car. Ill have a picture of that when i remove it.
  9. down buy the goon docks:banana:
  10. :eek:uhhh zydecobro you just talked suspension smack with the frickin suspension master. All those pictures he posted, no joke. Thank you for your advise on the adjustable coilover suspension but be cautious as to who you rut up with. Welcome to the Board. Ben
  11. Whats the story on possible wheeling or (rough road driveing)
  12. Ok gang again i say, roll call and what ya bringin. Ben
  13. Did you get your answer about the center caps. I believe you can use the chrome ones from your original wheels and modify them slightly to fit the pugs. Theres a writeup on here somewhere.
  14. I wouldnt lift it but thats just me. I like the look it gives. I think you should post a before and after pic of your car. I remember when it had nothing on it. Buy the way i had a guy quote me on some bead blasting and powder coating. Yea it was ungodly expensive but if you want to do it right its definately the way to go. You notice in the pictures before how theres rust and its pitted. They did a nice job filling all that in. Looks really nice.
  15. bring all 5 brent ill take them all. Cash in hand. Ok roll call and what your bringing call. Its just a few weeks away. In any incident there is the slight possibility i might not be able to attent. My wife might need to back into surgery for more gallbladder stuff. But if thats true then she misses her vacation which sucks for all. But lets hope it doesnt get to that. So anyways whats everyone planning to bring. I have a small grill with some charcoll and lighter fluid. Assorted Non Alcoholic beverages. My campin stuff. Rear disc Brakes (but i might install them buy then) Assorted tools but if others are bringing theres ill leave mine at home. Ill be leaving room to take 5 pugs home brent:lol:
  16. Man beast that setup has to be loud as hell. For street or every day use i would of ran it out the back. My exhaust is missing from muffler and on and its annoying sometimes.
  17. Lol see yall are crackin jokes. Did you see his passenger side rear door in the last picture. He messed up his car pretty good on that one. My condolences and glad you got it back ok.
  18. keep up the good work. Have faith brother.
  19. There have been people who have done this. I understand it kills a bit of backpressure if you eliminate the cats, resoner, and muffler. Give it a try and see what happens.
  20. Im wanting to do that to my wagon. The front is easy, its the back thats tough.
  21. normaly i would but there was no where to go this time. Utility poles and a bus bench to my right and a line of cars to my left. I had no choice but to brake.
