  1. If you have the radio/cassette combo, there are two more screws that are set back between the ones that you can see. There are six holding the unit in, three on each side. You need a full length philips to reach the back ones.
  2. How about $25 plus $5 shipping? I am trying to raise some paypal credit to pay for some fog lights. If this is too much make an offer! Frank
  3. I got a pic of a Legacy radio with the aux jack, anybody wanna see it? Email me at topshelf@epix.net
  4. When I first saw the ipods the first thing I thought of was that there would be a flood of gadgets to hook them up to a car system, I'm still waiting. As for that aux jack, I think my 92 Loyale had one. I still think that the new car systems will have memery built into them with a USB port on the front. Either download into your system or play directly from the iPod.
  5. I am buying a turbo Legacy grill from a guy in the UK who is parting out his car, I can ask him if he has the axles left over. The turbo axles are the same as the n/a.
  6. I saved all the axles from my 90 Legacy before I junked it and the front and rear shafts look similar but they are different, the most noticable difference is the lenght of the splinded area. I had to tag them so that I would not think they were fronts when I put them away.
  7. If you deside that you want to replace the switch let me know, I saved the one out of my 90 Leg before I junked it. Frank
  8. Top off the coolent and look for bubbles in the tank when the engine is running, if you have bubbles it is a head gasket.
  9. I cooked the tranny in my touring wagon, the clutch plates welded themselves together when the fluid leaked out from the hose that leads to the tranny cooler. Does anyone know who sells new clutch packs for a TURBO 4EAT and how much they should cost?
  10. I pulled the ECU from my 1990L before I got rid of the car, anybody know if it will work in a 95? Could he use it long enough to see if that realy is the problem before he spends big bucks?
  11. I picked up an old electric vacumn pump from a doctors office, it works like magic. I stick the ruber hose on the bleeder, turn on the pump and open the bleeder, I let it run untill the fluid comes out clean. The old fluid collects in a glass bottle. I think I saw something similar for sale on the Harbor Freight web site, if I can find it I will post it.
  12. The head gasket on my 1990 L went (2.2), to make a LONG story short, I took the thermostat out and drove it three years, (no heat in the winter), before the body rust forced me to part it out. The car was my daily beater, 210K with rust, did not want to put money in it.
  13. I have a 75 VW Beetle with no motor and a 92SS that I may take apart because I need the tranny for my 94 Touring Wagon. Aside from where to put the radiator, is this project worth considering?
  14. The car is a 1992 not 1994, I'm stupid. This car belongs to a friend of mine and he doesn't have internet access so I was trying to help him out.
  15. How do I read the "check engine" codes on a 1994 loyale? Are there any wires I can hook together like I can do on my Legacy? Thanks much. EDIT: the car is a 92 not a 94
  16. I am heading out Monday morning to get a tranny and diff from a 91 turbo sedan, the motor was sold already. It was hit broadside on the passenger side, I have not seen the car yet. What parts were exclusive to the turbo that I should buy? I don't know what is left on the car and it is a four hour drive for me so I would like it to be worth my while. Frank
  17. It did not read the code on my 99 Legacy even though the check engine light was on but it read the code on my buddy's Dodge truck when his light came on.
  18. My 90 Legacy knock senser code just came up, after some time checking wires, plugs etc, I saw that my timeing belt jumped a tooth. It was getting dark, I will fix the belt tomorrow. I will let you know if that was the cause. Frank
  19. I have three different salvage yards looking for me but the information they have says that only 92-94 will fit my 94 wagon. I have located an auto trans from a 1991 turbo Legacy on my own, is it the same as my 1994? Why do the salvage yards think they are different?
  20. WOW, you guys are great. Let me see if I can get these smile icons to work: :D :D
  21. So.... if I keep my original diff would the grear ratio match the rear or do I have to do anything else??
  22. I need a auto trans for my 94 legacy turbo wagon, will a non-turbo trans bolt up to it? Are the houseings different or just the internals? Frank
