  1. I done tried that already. I also plugged my green connectors together to cycle the fuel pump and tried firing it up like that too. Maybe I'll let the service department at the dealership fix it for me....
  2. yeah but its fine when its running. It'll only do it when its warm and I try to start it. So stopping for gas will be an hour long experience:lol:
  3. Ok well I decided it is definatly a warm start issue, probably having to do with the CTS. I let it idle for like 10 minutes today since it sat for a day. Then drove it around and it seemed fine. Did a couple 5k shifts with it, had no problems. Went to hang out with some friends and it sat for like 10 minutes. Got in it and no start. Let it sit for an hour and it was fine. When I parked it at my buddy's place, it was at normal operating temp and was still warm when I went to start it 10 minutes later. After sitting for an hour to the point where it had cooled off, it started up like nothing was wrong...
  4. Yes that is an original 360 if my memory serves me correctly. I thought the PNW was cold... then I moved to Wyoming. Now the dead of winter in Oregon is like the high we get during our summer. I mean, its snowing right now, in MAY!?!?!?! I got 9 days until I move back and anymore, I'm wondering why I ever moved here. I miss seeing Subarus from the 70's driving around:-\
  5. I thought that was Snowman. Those pics were taken during WCSS6. The last WCSS I attended before I moved to Wyoming:rolleyes:
  6. That is Qman's huge Brat. Its an awesome rig and seeing it in person at WCSS6 was the best.
  7. I was going to throw it in the dumpster but I didn't have the energy to do it quite yet so yeah, it sat outside since I pulled it:rolleyes:
  8. I had a Turbo XS BOV on my RX. I noticed no issues with it venting to the atmosphere as far as stumbling and such. It actually sounded pretty nice compared to a few cheaper BOVs I've heard. It had more of a flutter sound to it and on an old Subaru, it got a lot of weird looks:grin:
  9. motor had 256,000 on it. I did the compression test a few times to verify that the problem was compression and nothing else. After that, I removed the engine and never looked back at it. Sorry if its a bum engine Mike but I wasn't sure what was going to be wrong with it.
  10. well talking with a board member via AIM, he says a guy that he works with has an EA82 SPFI which is behaving just like mine. Says he pulled an EGR code so I'm gonna go ahead and pull the trouble codes on mine if there are any. What would the EGR have to do with it? Sticking? I'm at a loss. I'm gonna check fuel pressure and blow the lines out in the next couple days when I get time. Also, how do you check the strainer? I was gonna pull the access plate off of the cargo area floor and check out my sending unit as well.
  11. well I started it up and drove it to the gas station this morning. Got to work, parked it and then left a few hours later. Got home. Parked it for a few minutes, started it back up and drove it around to the back of my house. Went to start it again a few minutes later and no start.... Let it sit for a half hour, came back home and it started right up. WTF?!?!?!
  12. I'm not gonna make it either. My car doesn't like bumpy roads too much. Rides really stiff. That and I'll be packing a trailer so I can get out of Wyoming...
  13. well I got it to my house. I let it sit for a couple hours and it seemed to start right up and make it home without any issues. I think there's sediment in my tank and I sucked it up onto the strainer...
  14. I have a Nissan 350Z body... but its on a Tamiya TT01 chassis... AWD FTW!
  15. this is what I'm thinking. I'll wait till tomorrow and see if I can get it back to work and I'll have to remember to keep gas in it and hopefully not have anymore problems.
  16. well crappy thing is that the filter is new....
  17. So today, I found out my gas gauge isn't the most accurate. I got some gas in it and drove it home, well almost. I was ALMOST home (like a block away) and the car all of a sudden sputtered and died. WTF? Let it sit for a couple minutes and it started back up. I could rev it to about 3k and then it sputtered and died again. If I tried to start it up right away, it would just crank. If I let it sit for a couple minutes then it would start but only rev to 3k and then sputter and die. What is the deal? Its been running awesome since I got it back together. Could I have sucked something up off of the bottom of the tank and now its stuck in the line?
  18. Har har har, funny guys... I got my roofrack installed and I'm still working on getting my interior finished with all my new speakers I bought. I also got my awesome checkerboard seats in it as well, hehehe. I noticed the other day I was having an issue with my shift linkage being sloppy. Looked at my FSM and low and behold, the rear mount that has a rubber piece in it like an engine mount, had busted off before I installed them and I never noticed it. Now I know why my shift linkage is all funny. Gotta find me an replacement bracket:rolleyes:
  19. Well when I did it, I didn't have any ride quality whatsoever... since I set the rump roast end on the bumpstops:rolleyes: IIRC, I reclocked the trailing arms but in theory, if you reclock them a couple teeth, then the spring effect will be stock, just sitting lower then stock ride height
  20. I'm not sure on EA81s but I know on the gen 1's when you reclock the rear torsion bars is actually pretty easy. I had to jack the car up, pull the rear wheels off, and on either side at the outside ends of the torsion bar tubes, was a 12mm bolt, loosen that up, then I took an air hammer and pounded the torsion bars out from the inside. Then spin it to where I wanted it, pounded them back in, stuff the bolt back in, slide the wheels on and done. Don't see why an EA81 would really be any different though.
  21. Paul, thanks for the offer but I like the look of the coupes without the rear spoiler but with the RX bodykit on it, which is what I had done to my RX. I prefer the black steels to cheapo Wal-Mart hubcaps because it looks cleaner and there's nothing to take away from the car as a whole. I'm not going for flashy at this point in time but it will have some nice rims on it eventually, probably after the EJ20G swap. Jeff, thanks but I'm stickin with the less then $200 for my wheels right now. I'm moving remember? I'm tryin to save as much money as I can currently so I got some to live off of until I can get a job in Washington.
  22. 15" steelies + brand new Fuzion 195/60R15 tires = $188 I had the wheels when I did my 5-lug swap and they were free. I just put new tires on them and called it good until I get some nice LGT 17's but thats a little ways down the road. These will work until I move and then some. Beggers can't be choosers:rolleyes:
  23. So today I was debadging the rear hatch and low and behold, the whole car has been repainted and not very good I might add. Ugh, guess I'll have to shoot it when I get to Washington and find me a paintbooth I can use for a half a day...
  24. When thats the only exhaust I have, thats what I'm gonna run. That and it sounds nice and boxerish as well, no Honda farting here:grin:
