  1. I almost got a Legacy 3.0R but they did not have a color that I wanted so I went with a 2.5 GT. But the 3.0R are amazing cars.
  2. To give you an idea on how infested Boulder and Denver is, you can sit at a coffee shop for 60 minutes and probably see 45 go by. That is the same as here in Southern Oregon.
  3. As I was at my local recycling center, people were talking about Subies when I was unloading my recyclables from my Legacy. They said that in terms of per capita and population, Subarus are the most popular cars in Southern Oregon and Boulder, Colorado. I believed that it was the entire Pacific Northwest and Colorado that are the most popular areas for Subies in terms of numbers. I wonder if anyone else's regions are as infested with "Subaru virus?"
  4. I would always go with a used car that was dealership service so that there is a record of the car's service.
  5. It still sounds like a scam to me. I wish that I can increase my mileage with my Subie but I doubt it.
  6. me too...I wish people were more considerate of leaving information if they hit private property.
  7. I had photographs of the damage but they are deleted from my digital camera after I showed them to the cops and body shop. I did file a hit-and-run before I realized on who did it. I did confront the boyfriend and after he came back. His insurance paid for everything. The car has been back in the neighborhood. My parking lot is not well-designed. It is very hard to pull out of the parking spots.
  8. This is an old story....several months old. Back in November, my older Subie (2000 Outback wagon limited) was parked in its parking spot at my apartment complex on a Friday evening while I was doing some work in my office. My neighbor knocked on my door to tell me that my car has been hit and he described the car that backed into me. It sounded like my other neighbor's boyfriend, who is an impatient driver. He picked up my neighbor and did not know where he was putting his car's front bumper. He hit my driver's side panels and knocked them off and some dents on my doors plus some damage to my fenders. He did not leave any info with me or knocked on my door to let me know. I was not a happy camper. 2.5 weeks later and $2500 worth of damage, I got my Subie back. Unfortunately, I do not have pictures to show the damage. Now, I have my new one....I explained to him that I was somewhat generous and nice with the last one but if he hit my new one....I will be very . This is the older car that belonged to me.
  9. It is a shame to look at in the pictures. Man, everyone is getting hit. Hopefully yours can be fixed.
  10. I am glad that your wife is ok. I have seen worse in my region. Someone rear ended a Subaru Legacy wagon. The rear door was missing and the car crunched up but luckily, the driver was ok. Hopefully, they can fix your Impreza.
  11. I have seen one of those at my regional dealership with license plates that say 70 Subie. It does not go anywhere except sit in the waiting room of the parts and service department. I am amazed on how small they are.
  12. Glad that you are still alive. I have heard of a similar story where a guy walked away alive with a minor scratch from a serious accident all because of his Subie.
  13. Depending on how I am driving my '08 Legacy 2.5GT, I usually get 18 city/24 highway. My '00 Outback wagon did 24 city/28-30 highway
  14. oh yeah....with that back seat down, just load it up and be amazed. I have put tons of things in my Outback and had room to spare. You can actually sleep in a Subaru wagon...I have.
  15. I have never had a problem with my first Subie.....it was always reliable. I do not know what your region's weather is like, but here I have snow and rain and my Subie has never skidded when I have seen SUVs skid on roads. Welcome to the world of Subies....you will not be disappointed in whichever type of Subie you get. I am on my 2nd one and I am loving it.
  16. whichever you are planning to get, you will like it.
  17. Hello.....I just joined. I have fallen in love with Subarus when I got my first one in 1999, which was a 2000 Outback wagon limited. That car was super reliable. I did everything possible with that car from off-roading, going to horse shows, to doing donuts. Sadly, it was traded in a few days ago. I got a '08 Legacy 2.5GT Limited sedan and I am still loving the Subies. This is my 1st Subie
