possible bad alternator - again???
So we spent the early afternoon pulling all ground connections we could find... There was a lot and immediately spotted a problem. Ont ground wire that connected to a plug that ran into the coil was corroded/snapped. We ended ip replacing the entire wire and connector. Hoping that was the problem, we started her up and tested her again. Still the power was low. I knew it was the altenator, but we checked everything anyway. After swapping Alts everything was peachy keen. On an up note, We found the problem with my window too. Either the power/ground wire was cut and we just bypassed it making a new one. Yay i have a window again!

thread to post what the bitter cold has broken or left you stranded
Let's see. I took a 481 mile trip from central wisconsin to Alpena Michigan (off of thunder bay) via U.P. MI last tuesday. I already know hildie burns a little oil. So i dumped a quart in when i crossed the border. When I left my grandmas house on thursday (intended on leaving weds, had to work thurs, but got snowed in) My wipers had frozen along with window was pump. And I had the tick of death. I only had one more quart of oil with me so I checked the oil and dumped that quart in too. thankfully it quit. About an hour out of Alpena I hit a phesant which BROKE my right wiper. I could literally hear the poor thing hitting each rung of the roof rack. Wipers still werent working but i managed to jimmy the right one. But without washers workin i had to stop everytime i ended up behind someone because of the muddy salt crap that got sprayed on the windshield. plus side is i was only an hour and a half late for work!

I hope you arent suggesting that I copied that. I am an artist and i do NOT condone stealing other people's work. I know that there are several versions of the wagon= truck, I just want to add my own spin to it

umm I think anywhere from 7-10 before starting up again. We have 4 more months of the snow... Im not used to this much snow, where i used to live we would get 2 inches MAX and it usually melted in the following couple of days. former residence= Washington state

Help! My brat is dead on the side of the road.
I had a fuseable go corrode away earlier this month, I noticed a problem when i would sit at idle at a stop light and the idle would steadily increase. When I checked it it had an idle at 4500 rpm , I stripped the wire and reconnected it to get me home and stole one from another soob.
