  1. So we spent the early afternoon pulling all ground connections we could find... There was a lot and immediately spotted a problem. Ont ground wire that connected to a plug that ran into the coil was corroded/snapped. We ended ip replacing the entire wire and connector. Hoping that was the problem, we started her up and tested her again. Still the power was low. I knew it was the altenator, but we checked everything anyway. After swapping Alts everything was peachy keen. On an up note, We found the problem with my window too. Either the power/ground wire was cut and we just bypassed it making a new one. Yay i have a window again!
  2. Im just curious my shifter is noisy. Not the tranny just the shifter. It has been getting a little louder as of late. I came across this thread on a newer legacy with a simalar problem. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=962&highlight=Noisy+shifter Is the shifter set up similar. Can I do the same thing?
  3. I have a legacy that the prev owner said right rear strut was broken. Does anyone have any That i can buy for a 94 Legacy fwd wagon. Here's a pic of the wheel as it sits: (cruddy quality sorry.) Need help ASAP if possible.
  4. this was a couple of months ago at my gramma's. I was doing some work for her. I have lost a bit of weight since then.
  5. This was a birthday e-card i made for a friend from Norway. The pick was taken in the bathroom, about a week ago. So here's Hildie's owner
  6. Let's see. I took a 481 mile trip from central wisconsin to Alpena Michigan (off of thunder bay) via U.P. MI last tuesday. I already know hildie burns a little oil. So i dumped a quart in when i crossed the border. When I left my grandmas house on thursday (intended on leaving weds, had to work thurs, but got snowed in) My wipers had frozen along with window was pump. And I had the tick of death. I only had one more quart of oil with me so I checked the oil and dumped that quart in too. thankfully it quit. About an hour out of Alpena I hit a phesant which BROKE my right wiper. I could literally hear the poor thing hitting each rung of the roof rack. Wipers still werent working but i managed to jimmy the right one. But without washers workin i had to stop everytime i ended up behind someone because of the muddy salt crap that got sprayed on the windshield. plus side is i was only an hour and a half late for work!
  7. It's okies, i forgive you I suppose i see your point on a couple of spots. But i do know VW's, my first car was a 1980 A1 type Jetta soft slider top.
  8. You gotta love connections and easy payments BTW how ARE the hawks doing this season?
  9. I hope you arent suggesting that I copied that. I am an artist and i do NOT condone stealing other people's work. I know that there are several versions of the wagon= truck, I just want to add my own spin to it
  10. I am sorry, I am actually new to subaru's, my mom is the subaru guru here in my household. Ask though and i will see what i can do.

  11. umm I think anywhere from 7-10 before starting up again. We have 4 more months of the snow... Im not used to this much snow, where i used to live we would get 2 inches MAX and it usually melted in the following couple of days. former residence= Washington state
  12. I had a fuseable go corrode away earlier this month, I noticed a problem when i would sit at idle at a stop light and the idle would steadily increase. When I checked it it had an idle at 4500 rpm , I stripped the wire and reconnected it to get me home and stole one from another soob.
  13. Eh its gonna get worse, its too busy snowing. Supposed to get 6 inches tonight. living 25 MI from work is not fun.
  14. LOL yea right... too cold. *shivers* -5 tonight
  15. Do u have a radiator leak? its green in the snow under front of car. >Love_em
  16. good point, ill think about it, All i was thinkin of savin from original was basically just the engine and other misc parts I figured I would have to get a full new body, but Maybe sub frame reconstruction will work lol. I have NEVER done any body work before lol, but I would like to learn, a problem I will run into is im allergic to resin soaked fiberglass (not sure if it is the resin or the fiberglass that im allergic too) :/
  17. Ya i figured it had been done before, but I just wanted to add my own little spin on it. I will have to get a whole new frame, her's is rusted out. and I will have to convert her to a 4wd. The way I have it figured is I will be able to chop some of the wheel well once its lifted, and I can design the bed to rest over it, giving it storage under the bed ( kinda like that honda truck) I want to chop the rear hatchand convert to tailgate. and design a vinyl, snap/velcro rear cover (like a jeep= fun in summer ) it would be more of a hobby project
  18. Snow is pretty and all, even fun to play in, but i wish it would just go away. I live 25 miles from work and the roads were crappy the whole way home. The wind and drifting snow was tossing Hildie around like a hackey sack. It took an hour and a half to get home.
  19. That sucks dude. Fighting drifting snow here. it was BAD today.
