2015 WRX: HU, Interior Lights, Keyless Entry Failure
Slegacy96 replied to Slegacy96's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXAh, the exterior fuse box. Fuse #8 was missing. So I put a 10 Amp in and everything came back to life. Thank you....so what happened to the fuse that was there?

2015 WRX: HU, Interior Lights, Keyless Entry Failure
Slegacy96 replied to Slegacy96's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThanks. It has a 7.5 A in it as stock. Nevertheless, I tried it both ways and that didn't solve my problem.

2015 WRX: HU, Interior Lights, Keyless Entry Failure
I've combed the web and posted this on NASIOC already, but I can't seem to find a solution. Hoping there are some ideas here. It's been awhile since I've visited. I have a 2015 WRX. My tire inflator blew a fuse, which has happened several times before and typically I just replace the fuse and go about my business. However, this time my HU, trunk light, interior lights, and keyless entry have stopped working. The interior power door lock switches work just fine and the car alarm is set off when I unlock the car with a key, but the car doesn't beep when you lock it and then close the door. The keyless entry and trunk light are on fuse 15. I've checked all of the other fuses and everything looks in good order. I've checked relays. I've tried disconnecting the car battery and still no luck. I've seen other posts that point to the "back-up" fuse as being the problem. To clarify, that doesn't seem to be my problem. The fuse is good. There has to be something that I missing. Last

HG Replacement Help
Slegacy96 replied to Slegacy96's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThanks for the ideas. I have checked the buckets. They are to spec. This is beyond my level of skill so I could be wrong. But, I was just surprised that Subaru told me that they would only replace the engine. Trying to figure out whom to take it to for a second opinion.

HG Replacement Help
Slegacy96 replied to Slegacy96's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI finally broke down and took the car to Subaru. They informed that the timing was off when it was put back together and there is nothing that can be done for the car, other than trash the engine and put a new one in. What I don't understand is that if this car has an interference engine, botched timing would result in more than a loud ticking sound, would it not? Other than the noise, the engine runs great and the gas mileage is the best that it has ever been. I don't understand.

HG Replacement Help
Slegacy96 replied to Slegacy96's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI'm not sure I it's piston slap or not. It is similar to the tick of a direct injected engine, but much much louder. The volume is constant. It def. was not a problem before the HG job.

HG Replacement Help
Slegacy96 replied to Slegacy96's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIt's not hydraulic. It has springs. Can't see any of them as being broken. What is MMO? I have only driven the car a few hundred miles since the HG job as I also replaced the clutch and the fork actually sheared in half. So I just got a new, OEM fork in place. Glad to see that it is much thinker than the old one.

HG Replacement Help
Well I would have searched for this, but apparently my browser doesn't like vB. I replaced the HG's in my '99 Legacy GT and now I have a phantom ticking sound from cylinder number 3 that I can't seem to figure out. I tried shims, they're all fine. Also tried using some compressed air to clear any blocked oil ducts and that didn't help either. But at this point I have had the engine out twice and can't seem to figure out what the problem is. I did have the heads machined before installing the new HGs. I also replaced the water pump while I was in there. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Acceleration rise and fall. I'm new to Subarus. Help!
Sounds like it could be an ignition coil gone bad.

Check engine light reset??
Slegacy96 replied to murphsubaru's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXInteresting. I had a misfire hence the CEL. Dealer replaced ignition coil. Told me if I got another CEL I needed new plugs. Got another CEL shortly after and I replaced the plugs myself. Been driving around with the CEL for 2 weeks now.

2009 Outback or wait for 2010 Forester Diesel
Slegacy96 replied to BlueSoob's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYou can get a tax rebate for diesels now and it seems as if a Forester diesel might actually be worthwhile compared to the Jetta TDI which is waste of money IMO.
