  1. Still checking.. but what I do know is it did have some type of aftermarket alarm.. funny thing is they mounted the alarm speaker where the stock one would go in like the same way in all.. But since I don't know much about the aftermarket systems don't they just plug into the factory harness? I keep getting busy with work so I really haven't had much time to look again but I can tell you is whatever they used tied into some wire harness and something else near the fuse panel along with a push button switch.
  2. Would 0-30W be something to use in a higher mileage engine? I just switched to synthetic 5-30
  3. came out better then I thought it would I got very spoiled with the Random orbit polisher cut the time down big time. I just used the Meguiars clay kit and used liquid gold. tomorrow or Monday I'm going to use Meguiars #26 on another car to test
  4. I was never a fan of them style wise and snow-wise as you describe.. I still got my summer wheels sitting in the livingroom I really need to power coat them and I'm going to try and get them done sometime in December. But yeah I think I'm going to paint the stock wheels flat or semi-gloss black. That way I can get a little idea on how black would look on the car. I need to find a 16" steel wheel because the summer wheels are 16's and I have a brand new 16" full size as a spare.
  5. When you said GT wheels I was thinking this.. http://www.weatherwarrior.net/chaser/vehicle/LegacyGT/IMG_7096web.jpg
  6. nah they look like this http://www.trademark-auto.com/1997%20Subaru%20Legacy%20Outback.jpg I should take a picture of the wheel tomorrow and I bet you would be like paint those quick!! and as for body paint I don't need the flakes glossy is good enough I dunno still up in the air.. what would be really cool also is a glossy gunmetal color I'm between those two colors.
  7. Haha my phone was pretty much dead looking at this makes me want to go glossy for a repaint black.. And speaking of black I'm sure you saw my wheels on my car right? I'm thinking of painting them black what do you think? it's for my winter set and to be honest I think it would look better then what they look like now guessing that these are alloy wheels? they are like flaking or pitting or whatever.
  8. Hmm I was looking at the service manual to see if it talked a bit over the keyless system.. might be helpful since it tells which color the connectors are. It appears that all the connections I will be looking for would be black instead of translucent.
  9. Just because the lights work does not mean the battery is fine.. the Starter alone sucks up so much juice.. that's why things turn off in the car like the radio and other stuff (do the radiator fans turn off as well?) Anyways I had this same issue with a battery brand new from a nameless store I will not speak about.. After i changed it I was fine.
  10. Changed my oil yesterday finally!! I switched to full synthetic oil 5-30W Changed the PCV as well.
  11. nope never messed with the SSM before I'm sure most of the PID's are going to take more time to figure out what is what.
  12. question what was your deciding factor in replacing the rear o2 sensor since I hear it really has no effect on fuel trims.
  13. What year car do you have if it's 90's anything you are not going to see anything regarding transmission. And good job on the pro version it is well worth it! I'm going to buy a mount for my phone tomorrow to put on my window to hold me over until I get a 7" tablet.
  14. Ah well this sucks thought I would be doing it over the weekend however rockauto shipped my whole order from CA so it wont be here until the 20th Hopefully nothing stupid like the threads will come out.
  15. Yeah I will check the tool box tomorrow I gotta have something in this stuffed box
  16. it's something like 22 mm not sure what the size would be in SAE since I don't have any metric open end wrenches but I don't think I have it in standard as well.
  17. Yeah I'm going to go get an offset socket Friday between the koil heat and muscle hopefully it wont be a problem.
  18. Maybe someone will know since the last reply was back in May.
