  1. lol better late then never.. went to put my heads back on this morning and here is a good shot.
  2. Can someone help me I'm stuck.. the intake manifold is back on and all the sensors connected however I forgot to take a picture of the IAC and where that coolant line and where it goes it. Also anyone know what size the thermostat housing bolts are? As good as I was bagging stuff I'm missing one bolt. bolt size is M6x1.00?
  3. I have the passenger head on and I already did the back the bolts off 180 twice and then tighten 1 & 2 to 25 ft-lb and 3,4,5 & 6 to 11 ft-lb my question is after setting that I have to further tighten them 80 degrees? I just want to be sure.
  4. lol the way the auto shifts is stupid.. like it hangs between gears so if I make a turn and I'm coming out of the turn the car slams into gear. I can't wait with my new clutch and all Sucks I did not have time to check out my 5th gear.. I hope to do so by the end of the month.
  5. heads should be on tomorrow I miss driving my car I've been stuck with an automatic (a 95 ford taurus at that) all week
  6. yeah I got AAA plus saved my rump roast when my clutch cable broke in NJ oh man but we saw a cool skyline on the way back home.. it sucks for tolls you have to pay for the truck and my car :-/
  7. Hmm trying to picture this.. I just had a little time getting my grill to fit due to the last owner hitting something on both sides.. the passenger side was the worst.. the bolt for the light that's near the inner part was really off like 3/4" away from the hole. took the BFH and hammered it sideways and bent the radiator support a little to get it to fit. I think it might of been because I was like my car wont start they figured I was out of gas.. Speaking of that I still have that fuel pump in my box.. I sat it in the house for a few hours and I plugged it up and it worked :-/ right after I ordered the new one.. but it was ok. lol that was one night I will never forget it was damn near 12 or 1 AM when i got home.
  8. Well I called AAA to get a tow so I guess you can say so.. mind you it was like friken 19F out that night and where I was lucky for me they had a 24 hr laundromat. I had dress shoes on and I had some killer frostbite.
  9. is the grille hitting the light first or the grill hitting the lip?
  10. lol from what I hear that screw is hard to get out but I've never tried to take one out yet. I thought mine was bad on the other legacy.. I never figured out why that car would would run rough for like the first few seconds after it's sat for awhile.. it would really stumble. I thought it was leaking fuel :-/ I can't remember if it still did it or not after I had to change the fuel pump because it died that night... Long story short idiot came with a non flat bed truck and I said you can't tow me like this.. he had to be dumb and stupid and tried anyways.. not more then 80 Ft the rear tires started to skid.. SO since he was the only guy in town I had to wait another hour for a flat bed..
  11. yeah it's behind the #3 intake manifold like a top hat (lol that's what I thought)
  12. Oh man :-/ I forgot how to test the FPR but that could be it.. I know what my stumbling problem was.. pretty much the plug got no/weak spark it would hesitate sometimes bad Why that plug wire looks like that? Well because when i did the spark plugs some time ago I had a hard time because of the tight click on the plug and I was pulling and pulling outwards and the wire just went zoomp.. So I was like ok I'm going to make a temporary fix and I forgot all about it...
  13. What?? Why??
  14. lol I've been very lucky this week since this whole week they were calling for rain but today was the first time out of the whole week it rained.. but LOL like always this coming week all nice and sunny... ugh.. but yeah heads are nice and smooth.. I soaked the head bolts in motor oil and screwed them in finger tight for the time being. Today I went to the dealer to get the exhaust gaskets and a new IAC gasket.. I did not bother with the shims.. matter of fact I don't think I'm going to change them at all.. I can almost grantee this was the first time this motor has been pulled like this.. How rare is it to have gaskets that hit 200K? My girl is getting a little antsy since she is coming up next month lol keeps asking me you still working on the car? haha
  15. damn only loosely put the passenger head on before it started storming like crazy.. it really was not the storm that stopped me but it was pouring rain like mad and I'm under a tarp lol I've seen so many people get confused so here is a guide speaking of that 1 & 3 cleaned up really nice lol tried to make a cool shot
  16. pictures.. cleaned the intake yesterday resurfaced heads
  17. Got the heads back and I should of doubble checked but I got a call saying he forgot the lifters so had to go back
  18. did you guys use RTV to seal those black half-moon things on the heads? on both heads only one came out.. tried to take the others out but did not bother.
  19. the only thing that got mixed up was the buckets on the drivers head I was more careful with the passenger head
  20. Got bored since I have downtime on my car so started to clean my TB covers
