EA82s after 86.5 were Fuel Injected... My 86 is Carbed, but yours SHOULD be fuel injected. Picture of your engine bay?

wiring question: is it possible
Okay, Im sure its possible, but how is the question. Im going to get my corner lights painted like Spencers (OBK25XT) because his look friggin sweet But onto my question. I want the lights be illuminated all the time when the driving lights/headlights are on, like they are currently... BUT I want them to flash when the turn signals flash. Not at the same time, but alternating with each flash of the turn signals. Hope that makes sense... How do I wire this up? Which bulb will I use (obviously a two stage bulb) Sorry for not using technical terms, not sure which terms would be correct... Vehicle: 1986 Subaru GL Sedan.

Both of the Subarus I drive have Webers... On the 84 DL, theres a Weber and an EA81 engine (rodknocking EA71 previously) and the 86 GL has one too (ea82 engine though) On the EA81, even with the carb having a jetting issue, its NO issue to get it on the freeway, 0-60 in faster than you would think for a 26 year old car. I even keep up with the people on I205 and I5 that want to go 75-80, and thats not flooring it because if you do, itll bog the carb. The Weber is a MUST for your car, its like 100-150 if you find a good deal... You wont be disappointed.

Well, I guess the car isnt driving until March, he doesnt have insurance and wont until March I guess... But its in my driveway... and I go down the block and set off the neighbors minivan alarm with the exhaust... Okay Ive done it 3 times and thats my limit cuz I bet he doesnt find it nearly as funny as he did the first time... or second or third...

I told him they had a lot of issues, and he said are they fixable. and I told him that even the parting out car on Craigslist with 618k miles is fixable, but it takes money, and he said sweet.. Then he saw it and he wanted it. I listened to it run, and he said do you hear anything bad, and I said no, and he handed the guy money.

Its fun to drive at least lol. I like when the turbo spools... thats fun.. I feel safer in Ned for sure though, if I toy with Neds suspension, it will get lowered, for better handling.

Is it going to be a engine pull to get all the hoses done? Should we do headgaskets too, you said those fail, can we get updated ones or anything so he doesnt have to worry? I warned him, but hes happy, but his parents said they were really glad that he had a friend that would help him find, buy and wrench on a car he really wanted... they kinda shot me in the foot

Having problems with my Emergency Brake?
Only if its going backwards, I realized it doesnt work when going downhill frontwards.
-
Having problems with my Emergency Brake?
Just asked GD... Its on the Front, all EAs are on the front... I apologize for my wrongness, and will take my emotional beating and run haha
-
Having problems with my Emergency Brake?
In fact Im positive its in the rear... When starting out today I left my ebrake on, and the front end lifted up when I accelerated... So it has to lock the rear wheels... Even though the idiot light was on, I still left it on and tried going.
-
Having problems with my Emergency Brake?
Umm.. I thought ebrake was rear wheels on the 86 GL... You do have a hill holder, which when the clutch is in all the way, and you push the brake all the way down, it engages... Have you tried lifting the ebrake and then slamming it back down... This worked on my Loyale... This should be posted in the Older Generation forum, more people with more knowledge will notice it.

Brought home another one...
Well I told him it was an option, but he had a grand max to spend, and I dont have any money to loan him lol. So now I guess we keep feeding his EA82T headgaskets and whatever else that stupid motor eats.

Nah Ned will get the gold 15 inch pugs and low profile tires, the spoiler, Neds gonna be my little STI wanna be
-
Brought home another one...
Yea Im going to do some research... If we need to pull the engine (this might have bad headgaskets I guess) then Imma see if we can just put a regular ol EA82 in it

Brought home another one...
Well, my friend Jordan wanted an Audi... I talked him outta it, and today, brought home his new 1986 Subaru GL-10 Sedan. 4WD *pushbutton* EA82T. Has redrilled 6 lugs and wagon struts so it sits higher, trimmed fenders. No weird noises, no knocks. Its straightpiped so the exhaust has to be clamped. **This is his Subaru (left) and him, and Ned and Me on the Right.

4WD question
You could take it to Les Schwab and have them check it, theyd put it on the lifts and then put it in 4WD and then accelerate it... At home, you could do the same just put it on Jackstands but youd need 4 of them to make it safe. Or if you still have snow on the ground, find somewhere super wet or icy and have someone watch your tires... if your front ones are spinning faster than the rears youre not in 4WD.

New pugs - few questions
Mine are 15 inch pugs though, so I have to go with a 15 inch tire.
