  1. I will consider that.... Sounds like itd be pretty cool...
  2. Your wagon is my model I love the corner lights Hopefully by next WCSS Ill have my car painted Subaru Blue with these pugs gold (they will be gold by a few weeks from now)
  3. Lol that is a hot wagon Yours obviously is stock height, do you have any rubbing issues? Right now Ive got 185/70/13 on there... To go up to 205/50/15 seems like itd cause issues? Also: How expensive are tires for these? Whats good for traction? I want these to last...
  4. Do you have a picture? The GL is a 1986 Sedan. Painted Dark Blue (stock) I want to clean these pugs up, (they arent bad, just were painted black) and then paint them gold... Eventually I might paint the GL in Subaru blue like an STI But what will the pugs look like on those?
  5. I have a set of Pugs that I bought today... They are 15s. I need tires (that will fit a GL with no lift) I want low pro, or Legacy tires... Will these fit? Also... They are not all 4 the same wheels, same design, but two were made in a different place than the other two. Will this make a difference in 4WD?
  6. You are on vacation lol. But thank you, I will pick up a roll and see what it will take, or we can do it when you get back
  7. So I noticed that the trunk leaks on a 1986 GL Sedan, through the tail lights. Whats the best plan of action for this? I talked to the guy at Autozone, but he said just black silicone will work.... Having just replaced the tail lights on a 1993 Nissan 240sx, I had used weather stripping and black silicone, and it was cleaner, and didnt leak... Anybody fixed this problem before? -Procedure information (including how to clean the lights, as from experience on a Loyale, that stuff is sticky and near impossible to get off) -Time spent is important (got to know how long this is going to take) Thank you ahead of time!
  8. Abuse most likely... I didnt notice it when I bought it, but when we did maintenance, first start up had a pretty audible knock and then even after it warmed up we still hurt it. Didnt explode yet, but we want to tear into the engine and find out what made it knock
  9. To answer that, I replaced it with an EA81. We had one laying around that just needed cleaned up, had about 170k miles (my EA71 had 155k) so it was pretty close. She rides smoother now, whole new car... Even shifts better (4WD clutch in 2WD car)
  10. Got the engine in LuLu a few days ago. Started it up and it runs great, just need to do the PCV routing to the other valve cover and the air cleaner. Few other things that have to be done: Clean engine bay (its gross) PCV Routing Bad flasher (signals stay on when they should flash)
  11. SHE RUNS! LuLu, my 1984 Subaru DL Sedan ran today. Purred like a kitten... Well, the exhaust was off so more like she roared like a lion But Im very happy. She went 155k on her EA71 engine before the rod knock made GD and I think of swapping out the engine. When we pulled her original engine, we found it was an EA71, not the EA81 that we thought, so now its replaced and here soon she will drive back home to Hillsboro...
  12. ^ Thats what I meant lol. I know that the Loyale in 1994 had the last EA82, and the Legacy had the EJ22. Off to go put engine back in the beast
  13. Really? I thought 85 and up was EA82s? I suppose the brat and STD hatch were EA81s still.
  14. Removed the engine out of my 1984 Subaru DL. Thought it was an EA81, but was surprised when it was an EA71 engine
  15. Glad everyone had fun. I was in Portland doing schoolwork and then yanking the engine out of what I thought was an EA81...
  16. One thing that I have learned from Rick... Buy the parts like hoses and seals and gaskets from Subaru. The hoses from Subaru are pre-bent and therefore dont kink when they are installed.
  17. What Mechanical fan on the water pump? Was there one of those on Ned?
  18. Alright, I just took the radiator out and put it back in a 1986 GL Sedan which is an EA82 like your loyale, and my name (92_Rugby_Subie) came from my 1992 Loyale Wagon, so Im pretty sure its the same setup
  19. You have to remove the fans if I remember right. Unbolt them, and disconnect them electronically. Then you disconnect the hoses and lift it straight up and out... If I remember right, an EA82 radiator only has two bolts on top for mounting the radiator but each fan has 4 bolts, two upper, two lower. Hope this helps
  20. Sigh. I would have math class on a Saturday... At least by next year Ill have a 4WD D/R... Maybe even a lift or something. Such a bummer Have fun guys, I cant wait to see pics and videos!
  21. Very nice, I dont mind the one on the GL but I mean, if I find a nice steering wheel, I might take it?
