  1. I drool over Ricks SS everytime I go out there
  2. Craigslist (if its in your area) I had a Weber 36/32 DGEV on my 84 GL wagon that I sold to Pooparu for $125 cuz it needed to be rebuilt. I think he just got $175 for it... So look on forums (here and others) and look for a Weber 36/32 with a Subaru adapter plate. Not to be a pain, but I dont think youll find one in a junkyard...
  3. Check your alternator/battery? Just a guess, but couldnt it be going slower when your headlights and stuff are on because of the drag on the battery? and then when you rev the engine, it blinks faster? I suppose could even be faulty switch somewhere as well. Thats just my guess, Im sure a Subie master will reply soon
  4. Yes Micah It is Mountain Tech... They are pretty spendy though... and Im partial to Ben (old mechanic) that worked there. Always called me Michael or Mitchell instead of Marshall lol, but he knew my first Subaru, and was a HUGE part in it breaking 450k miles. Now he works in Portland somewhere, but then again, GD is helping me keep my Subaru inline and its better to learn things now and do them (with help) then to watch someone speedily do it through a window and then pay the bill and drive away.
  5. ^ Agreed. Welcome aboard. What are your plans for the GL10?
  6. That's amazing congrats on the luck and good luck on it continuing
  7. Who does that amazing machine belong to?
  8. maybe have a fuel leak? or a clogged carb? replace air filter, spark plugs and oil, and see if you get any better, if not, you should get a weber or a rebuild.
  9. My dad drove his Subies hard and experienced upper 20s, and my car yields about 36-38 on the hwy, and about 32/33 in town, and I need an oil change, so Id say something needs to be done with yours...
  10. Sweet ride I want it. Im from Portland but welcome aboard. Youll find any info you need here, as well as friendly people, and get togethers, etc.
  11. Meet Swat.. Named for his SWAT abilities (13 front toes 7 on left 6 on right) Also would love to be called SLEEPS WITH A TIRE... Keeps sleeping ON the tire of my new Subaru, up in the wheel well... Will try to get pics in the act, but he hears the doors open and RUNS inside (hes SOOO starved at 25 pounds)
  12. Meaning let them "steer" or "honk" the horn? What a jerk move kidding, god that would be freaky to pass if I were another car... Pass somebody on the freeway and throw your hands up from the wheel screaming it doesnt work, and steer left and right as the RHDriver was doing everything... Hell to see the steering wheel on the left side with no driver would cause a double take.
  13. Cant be... My 1992 Loyale (EA82) after an oil change, new wires and plugs and a fuel additive to clean out the carb, raced against my friends Miata and hit 105 before I realized that I shouldve been going 55 Id suggest NOT doing that, and testing it on a track. Even my 1984 DL (EA81) right now, doesnt have good plugs or an oil change (needs both badly :-\ ) on my way home from GDs the other night, Id be in the 65 and look down and the things hittin 80 and all Im feeling is an occassional shake on the wheel.... I would definately check your carb, your air filter and your oil... dont want sludge to slow you down (Lemme guess, 16? ...... Hehehe Yea!) love that commercial.
  14. The wheels wont fit your Subie unless you swap rims out. I havent used those exact ones, but I ran some like them on my Loyale after I took the studs out since I was thinking Id save money (but then later had to buy winter tires again) The work well, but I still prefer studs
  15. I figured they were the same since they were both the same year, model and style, but I hope someone does need one.
  16. As it just so happens, Rick (GeneralDisorder) is working on my car with me. I will make sure we look at this list and check things off as we do them, as I do want this to be a car that although nearly 27 years old, still runs, drives and looks like a champ. Yup, spare spark plug wire, it perplexed Jacob and I for a few moments but hey, cant be too careful.
  17. Thank you James Any news on your 84 GL yet? I wanna resolve this, I feel quite bad.
  18. I think and hope he has that part under control...
  19. OHHH lol Mines not in amazing shape but its there and functional
  20. I should save my radio? Like, save the console part for someone else?
  21. Wait, putting a weber on means I cant have power steering?
  22. Ill be out there tomorrow to help him organize while he helps on my car. Are you gonna bring the frankenmotor brat there?
