1991 Legacy Sedan Ej22 engine What exhaust optins do I have? Can I but an STI muffler on it? I thought about doing cut-outs with an STI exhaust system, but I dont want something that is gonna be an impossible project...

Thats what I thought... it being a 4 cylinder (didnt know flat four) but still, I thought, V6, Yea right.

So Im excited to get a 1991 Legacy L Sedan 4 Door. Has the EJ22 130k miles and immaculate interior I was reading reviews to find some info on them and parts etc.. About 3-4 people said that because it was a V6, it was super fast, but still gas efficient.. How close to real is that? Is it really a V6 (when I hear that I think of my SUV or a muscle car) How good is the MPG? My first improvement/mod (after fixing bumper) is to put an STI exhaust on it, yet Ive heard this is a lot harder than Ill be expecting it to be...

Dont wanna upset anyone, but its been brought up a little bit.. Would towing a 5 Speed Legacy, AWD be bad with all 4 wheels down if it was in neutral?

I understand... My thirst for power and loudness comes from first two vehicles: I had a 1968 Buick Skylark Custom with a 350 V8 with 289 hp, dug holes in my dirt driveway and my 2nd favorite sport (next to Rugby) Honda hunting! Also had a 1991 Chevy S10 with a V6 and custom exhaust that set off car alarms at 4000 RPMs.. I am planning for future obviously, barely making the 650$ for the Legacy, so 800$+ isn't in my range, and the car has 133k, so I'm not looking to frankenmotor it at this point

Well darn That means that my 91 EJ22 wont have much power either... How much does the EJ25D head replacement cost? How much power will my stock EJ22 Legacy have? I believe mines just an Legacy L?

Very nice both of you! Mine have been sanded down to smooth and painted, they dont look as good as those two sets do, but mine (when dry) will be sanded again, and recoated and pics will be taken... Even as they sit now, each rim is in 7/10 condition for the paint on the face side... Hopefully will be in 8.5-9.0/10 when finished...

Thanks guys, I am doing sanding on all the rims and making sure to take the flat spots out, that one rim isnt done yet.

Which mixed with dirt, means mud to have fun in right Hehe And snow, Oregon has MT Hood which has snow and Portland gets snow, and I always love to pass people in SUVs stuck in a ditch when Im only in 2wd with studs or 4wd with no studs and no chains

So at WCSS and in the convoy up there... I saw a lowered WRX/STI, with Carbon Fiber fenders, hood, bumper etc. Well I didnt realize he was in my area, but I saw him at the light on 185th and Evergreen Parkway in Beaverton... Just wondering who he is. Also if Im in the wrong forum, this can be moved, I just didnt know exactly where to put it. The Subaru was blue by the way lol

I had a 1984 Subaru GL Wagon... EA81 motor, and the biggest source of my knowledge is Rick... General Disorder... He is great, try to find him... and ask him about a symptom and he will let you know.
