  1. You know with all the attention you've been garnering on this thread... you never know who might drag their old BRAT along and hand you the keys if you show up at WCSS13! And nice wheels edrach Shall I post mine when I'm done as well?
  2. Actually the only thing we determined is that it's NOT Mr. Brat... Thanks for playing! I know - I'm evil
  3. OH really! Sweet! I haven't spent a whole lot of time on the WA side of the gorge... I was thinking... "...looks like multnomah area. Nah... He's from Idaho!" haha - This is what I get for trying to be logical.
  4. You're funny... Silly - I know you're not. But he posted on here a few pages back.. Probably should have quoted it... oops!
  5. Awww you boys are no fun! No checkerboard?? That whole tree/secured pole would be AWESOME! Too bad the only pole I could have used is now on the other side of a 6 foot fence :-\ There is a chance we might already have a professional grade sprayer in the garage... that shack has proven to be a wondrous treasure trove on occasion... And by all means... DONT PM IT! Honestly! How will I learn it if you keep it a secret from me?
  6. Heyyo... that's pretty! Where do you go camping? I might have to impose on your spot if I promise not to go when you're there!
  7. Oh and as for the paint... I've not got a clue! I don't have a weekend picked out to paint anything if that's what you're asking. I joked w/my dad that I should get the rear corner panel and the driver's side door from you too... that way the WHOLE car will be checkerboard! Plus I've hardly learned how to re-do wheels... gimme some time to learn to repaint the car! :-p I'm going to practice bondo (maybe?) and paint on the old hood and door.
  8. Well actually I don't have any bolts for the fender... its just sitting on the body. Not bolted or anything... The hood is alright though... maybe I could PM you my address so you could mail them to me? And I was in a hurry w/the headlights, kinda just set them there for looks. Then around dark I was actually trying to fit them in and it almost looks like you gave me 2 drivers side lights... did you?? I didn't look at them really well so if I have time tomorrow after school I'll see for sure. Either way it's gonna take some more pounding on the frame to get everything to fit. It's a good way to take out frustration! lol In the group "Subie Ladies" I explained a little how I changed out the door all by myself... :-p I'm hoping my wiring for the lights isnt damaged... otherwise idk what I'm gonna do cuz I know jack squat about electrical and wiring stuff.... :-\
  9. Sometimes I forget websites besides USMB are useful... Thanks a bunch. Advice and tips are still welcome!
  10. Is there an easy way to change out the spark plugs on a 2005 legacy gt 2.5 turbo? All the user man says is "may be difficult, you should take it to the dealer" anyway. I'm not really looking for a "its too hard for you, take it to them anyway" response... just wondering if anyone knows an easy way of getting to them/changing them.
  11. I was just thinkin' cuz I'm pretty sure I get an extra day from school that weekend, I've been looking for an excuse to go camping, an old friend got me addicted to BRATs a few years ago, and I've always wanted to go to Leavenworth. And no worries... No Hondas here. I grew up in a Subaru family! If I have my Loyale licensed by then I think I really might try to go!
  12. Holy dang! That is GORGEOUS! :slobber: And Subinewby... you said your wife caught a picture of it? Perhaps posting it might be beneficial to identifying it?
  13. You sure? Cuz I'm sure I could toss it Ben's way and have him get it to ya. It ended up in my toolbox... :/ sorry.
  14. Good call on the lugnuts... I'll have to get some And as for why I'm not doing the wagon wheels... because I've never done this before... so I figure it's better to learn on my steelies, then do the wagon wheels justice once I get it down. And of COURSE it's a 5 speed! boys....
  15. Not that I'm aware of... but I haven't really started driving it yet so I guess we'll see. what else ya got? :-p oh and I have a short single silver lug wrench... 17" I think, is it yours?
  16. "big brat" isn't that an oxymoron?
  17. Don't forget the moldy teddy grahams in the back!
  18. Leaked water dude! Lol - and I debated it... but I figured for another 10 bucks what the heck... so now I can take the old one apart and fix the dent and figure out why the whole inside panel was soaked. Maybe I'll get something out of it... who knows? Plus now my car looks wicked awesome checkerboard.
  19. Is this a BRAT owner only type thing? I doubt I'll make it but hey... I do have an obscure passion for BRATs - and I haven't really been camping in a few years . lol
  20. Dang - did you have one of these last year? I lived in Butte for a year... I totally would have been there if I had known! Looks awesome guys!
  21. Boy I thought for sure it would be the blinker fluid! Glad ya got it fixed! :-p
  22. This car is B-E-autiful! And I'm guessing on that harness that "earth" is the ground? That's cute... haha. And I know it was forever ago but... Nomad Brad... I understand you live in Boise and whatnot... but up here in North Idaho we're STILL getting snow... I pity you that you were caught off guard by snow! I love snow! That's what makes subies so much fun! Back on topic.... Subscribed! - keep up the good work! Interior looks awesome!
  23. replaced door, fender, hood. sanding down wheels and repainting them. I've been beating out the front corner of my car so I can fit the headlights in soon hopefully.
