Charcoal canister removal?
No benefit in leaving it there either.

I knew someone would comment on them.

Camber after lift?
After jumping up and down on the bumper a few times, it seems to have settled a bit. I also adjusted the blocks (hammer and drift, then re-tighten) so they point as much to center as possible. Looks better, but I won't be able to drive it until tonight. Passenger side. Driver's side

Camber after lift?
As most of you know, I managed to complete a 2" block lift with much fighting and many stupid questions. Now, it seems that my tires have a little more camber than before...it isn't a lot, but it is noticable. My blocks were cut correctly with 15 degrees of offset. Is this normal? Is there a way to cure this or will it fix itself once I throw some larger/wider tires on? I don't want to just eat the outside edge off of all the rubber I put on my coupe. :-\

Front strut removal for 2" lift?
Let me make a correction to that statement: I'm not going to wheel it real hard until I get another daily driver. Bill, I looked pretty hard at the Bighorns. The price on them isn't too bad, but how do they tolerate the street? Mud Lite XTRs are sick! Got a pic of your Brat with them on?

Then Grabbers really sound like the way to go. I'm not going to wheel this rig real hard.

Front strut removal for 2" lift?
Got some 6-lug beater wheels (2 pair, 14x6 and 15x7), so I'll have to do the hub redrill fairly soon. Looking either the Hankook Dynapro MTs or General Grabber AT in 27". Undecided so far, but I have until January to figure it out. It does look funny. Steering feels a little strange too, but I'm sure I'll get used to both.

Front strut removal for 2" lift?
I'll attack it again tomorrow when I get home. Thanks guys!

Half of my lift is built.
I pulled the link for the swaybar first thing (and will completely remove it later), but it didn't seem to help. I'll get pictures tomorrow when I get back to the barn, hopefully I've just been stupid and overlooked something...which was distinctly possible considering my level of tool-throwing frustration.

What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
I'm trying to give mine a 2" lift.

Half of my lift is built.
I can move the strut around, but can't get enough space inbetween the body and top of the strut to fit the block in. I also can't get enough room to get the strut free from the knuckle! It looks like I'd have to pop the lower ball joint (something I am loathe to do). It doesn't look like anything is binding either. It is very strange. I'm still a complete n00b when it comes to these cars, so here is a dumb question...there is a bar that attaches to the lower control arm with 2 bolts, it runs across diagonally and back to a mount on the body. Do I need to remove that instead of where the control arm attaches to the cross member? I'm just at a loss here. I can provide pictures if needed. Any help is greatly appreciated as I need this car back on the road by Monday so I can take my son to school. It is my daily driver. :-\

Front strut removal for 2" lift?
I know! It really doesn't want to go as far as I need it to. But it will, eventually.

Front strut removal for 2" lift?
I'm having a hell of a time getting the front blocks in on my lift. Removed the sway bar, unbolted the control arm pivot point bolt and drifted it out. I still can't get the control arm to move far enough down to get my front blocks in (or the strut out), even with my fat friend Mike stepping on the hub. Any ideas? I'd really like to get this done today and back on the road!

And now, for some pictures! The Legacy seats are really comfortable! My homemade GPS mount and "custom" shift knobs, scavenged relics from my barn. Phase 1: complete. On to Phase 2.

Half of my lift is built.
Workin' on it! Pretty sure I'm going to go with 27" Hankook Dynapro MTs. That can be arranged! I took care of that last night while choking down a few beers and hogged the holes out to 9/16".

Damnit! That makes me somewhat upset that I've already torn it apart! Thanks for the offer, though!

Half of my lift is built.
Well, looks like it'll be tomorrow when it actually gets lifted. My son's mother was exceedingly late, so I out of light and need to hit the hardware store for 9/16"x1" bolts for the rear.

Open Heart Surgery
I had a '71 Charger w/ 383-4bbl, A833 and a D60 rearend the same color (don't remember what Dodge called it). Wish I had never sold it...

Half of my lift is built.
The rear blocks are already drilled to 9/16", they were when my buddy Rob dropped them off. It'll happen today, after my son gets picked up by his mother. Pics this afternoon or evening! No tires for it yet, though...so it'll look pretty stupid with the stock little 13" pizza-cutters under a 2" lift.

Half of my lift is built.
A couple more (probably dumb) questions... The holes on my rear blocks are already drilled to 9/16" on both sides. Do I need to go larger for the bolt attaching to the body? I figure the strut mount will need to be drilled, but will it take that large of a hole? The front blocks have 7/16" bolts welded in. Will the strut mount holes up front take drilling to that size without significantly weakening them? Thanks for putting up with me and my questions. You guys kick rump roast! I'll have pictures tomorrow!
