  1. I plan to use the Tee but not the spring and ball in the tee.
  2. thanks guys I will go with the straight bleed setup and no check valve
  3. this looks like a decent quality piece but having a check ball in the TEE fitting confuses me. I think I'll just remove the check ball and spring and use it like every other bleed type I've looked at today.
  4. I think I have the install down but the t fitting having a check ball confuses me. I guess I had a misplaced idea that this was a spring valve controller instead of a bleed controller. I'm used to seeing the spring valve controllers.
  5. I just received a MBC bought on Ebay and I am a bit confused there is a "T" fitting with a ball and spring in it and an adjustable bleed valve. My question is if this is a bleed off type controller why is there a check valve? I am thinking about removing the check valve and just treat it as a bleed valve.
  6. a google search brings up a beauty pageant that used Subarus as the transportation cars.
  7. mine has a TWE DP and basically a straight 2.5 inch pipe from there back, it does have a glasspack but that doesn't muffle much. perhaps I'll swap the glasspack for a real muffler.
  8. that's why I come to this site. thank you. I'll go with an adjustable then.
  9. I have used this on nissans many times but I'm not sure if it will work on the suby turbo. what we used to do is slightly crush the regulator top increasing the pressure a little. I think it was 10 psi max before rupture. would this benefit the EA82t or am I chasing my tail again.
  10. For mine I figured they would just two tone the grille so here's my take...
  11. has anyone tried to fit a WRX muffler on their older car. I'm thinking about buying a WRX muffler for my RX ( I like silent power ).
  12. go to ccrscca.com the auto cross schedule will be on that site. I hope to see you out there.
  13. I just scored a sweet SVO intercooler that should help this engine make more power reliably. now to hunt down an oil cooler...
  14. 2wd struts from the XT OK and I guess I can use the special springs that are coming with my car. the rear I'll give a call to a friend with a Miata and use the rear struts from one of those. I saw that setup used by Numbchuks
  15. Ive been using the search function and have found lots of info on rear struts but little on the front. I want to keep the 4 lug but I want travel at a lower ride height what struts will give me that? this is on an 88 RX. The reason I want to keep the 4 lug is I have several sets of wheels with my various race tires on them. I am using this car for autocross aiming at street mod (so I can get away with bad things )
  16. Darn I was hoping this would work. the grille on my rx looks like it went missing at some point. perhaps I could have the in/outlets moved to the back of the cooler.
  17. I am wondering if my FMIC will fit I don't have the car yet so I can't just walk out and measure. what I have is a 27x5.5x2.25 Ebay cooler. I'm thinking about replacing the grille with it the 27inch length is to the end of the in/outlet. If I cant replace the grille I will probably put it behind the grille. this is an RX that I'm working with
  18. first stop for this car is right back in the hands of one of the builders. He will give it a thorough check and we'll go from there. I will keep you in mind if I decide to move on. On the rebuild date MY Mistake I didn't check the date on the event and was told they built the car two weeks prior to the event.....the 2004 event was Sept 2003 so OOPS.
  19. Where does the spider Intake come from?
  20. I don't plan to turn up the boost from it's current setting, just improve the efficiency and gain power from that.
  21. Thanks for the advice. I should add some background on this car... This car had a complete rebuild in 2004 in preparation for the GRM $2004 challenge. The heads were ported and decked and a 5 angle valve grind was included. A bov was added to the stock boost pipe and many gauges to monitor things. A TWE down pipe was added and a straight pipe exhaust with just a glasspack. The air box was gutted. there is a manual boost adjuster on the car set to 10psi (as it was for the challenge). Custom wound springs and a custom camber plate were used to improve turn-in. I think this car is well built. I however want to make it nearly bullet proof (well more so than it is now) and have a bit more power. My plans (after reading things here) are: oil cooler intercooler 280zxt injectors XT-6 sway bars WRX turbo for reference this is the car
