  1. Damage doesnt look to bad, a hood and fender from the junk yard, or just drive as is, when i look at these cars, i just dont want rear body damage as the front parts hood fenders bumpers and so on are easy to find, to replace, most of them have the rust around the fender wells, Imo the price is a little high, in my area you can find them with good bodys, but higher milage, for bit less then that. The pulsing when braking is just warped rotors, can be replaced or resurfaced.
  2. More then likley one of the door switches. The switch would be in the door jam, does your car have the little screen letting you know what door is open, then you would be able to replace the correct the switch. If not your going to have to test the switches one at a time until you witch one is causing the issue could be the rear hatch or trunk also
  3. where would i look for that filter, just follow the cooler lines up to the radiator?
  4. I dont belive i have a spin on filter, like the newer ones. Is it worth taking the pan of to change the filter in there. I know years ago i did it on another sub, and the pan took quite a few tries to get it to seal properly. So id rather stay away from that, but if that filter is worth changing i will do it. Thanks in advance
  5. on my 92 legacy it died around 180k, im sure others get a lot more then that though just depends.
  6. It seems to be the links, i can hear them creak from there when i pull down on the bumper. 200k on them, more then likely worn out also. What could i try greasing the sway bar bushing with?
  7. Would like to get rid of the creaky noise when going over bumps, how difficult are they to replace, just un bolt them and bolt on the news ones, or is there more involved.
  8. yea i got all four, they are the same size and all are even so the awd will be ok thanks
  9. Any one know if they will work it has 185/70/14, but the 185/75/14s look a little taller, and help is appreciated thanks.
  10. As of last night parked the car 92 legacy auto, and looked back and it was rolling away, is there away to adjust linkage to get it to work, or is it something internal in the trans. Thanks
  11. May just still be air in the system, have you tried running it with the bleeder open and the front right of the car up higher, to let air out?
  12. mine did the same kind of thing after washing the engine, water got somthing wet it eventually cleaned it self out, you could try compressed air to the plug wires and such see if it fixes it
  13. interesting, mine will really make a racket on most starts and makes more noise as it revs, but it can be herd at idle once hot.
  14. i have the same damn noise maybe a little worse, hopfully you get an answer cause i would like to know also
  15. Mines leaking pretty bad along with the oil pump or front crank seal, is it possible to get the oil pan off while in the car it looks likes its possible but not sure. thanks
  16. no kidding i drive around 6k-10k elevation in my ea81 all the time really gotta spin the poor thing to keep up with the semi trucks
  17. Most of the time thats just the little pin in the air hole on the thermostat housing. I know pins not the word for the little thing but i cant think of the name of it
  18. The last belt was done at 150k by a subaru only mechanic. It now has 192k on it, i dont have the receipt, so i dont know if they were replaced then.
  19. so to my surprise when i got the cam pulley off the cam seal wasnt even sitting in place it had completely came out and was just sitting loose on the cam. I got the new one in and all is well so far but i fear if it came out once it could do it again
  20. yea mine is defiantly the cam seal, in the timing belt kit it looks like it comes with 4 cam seals. Is this for the rear seals on the back side of the engine or am i missing somthing
  21. so it is running down behind the passenger side cam, belt is dry and in good shape. Will be replacing soon thanks for the help
  22. i took of the passenger side cover belt is dry and it looks like its coming more from the middle and was seeping to that side, belt looked dry from there i need to get something so i can take the crank pulley off and get to the rest of it.
