I just bought a complete overhaul gasket set (2 head gaskets, manifold gaskets, etc.) for an EA81 in Israel for ~50$. We have a lot of EA71s here, if you would like i can check pricing for an EA71 and maybe ship one set to you.

I'm rebuilding my engine ~500 miles from previous rebuild due to serious knocking from main bearings and rod bearings. After the tear down i found that the crankshaft was severely grooved. Hoping for this rebuild to last longer I'm trying to address all possible oil starvation reasons.

I tried 195/75/14 on pugs on when i had my GEN 1 wagon and it rubbed the back arches. The largest size I could fit (which also required some banging on the rear arches) is 175/75/14. Now the wagon is gone and a BRAT has replaced it, i will re-try the 195 tires on it in a few weeks and update.

Check your advance module on your distributer if it's diaphragm is faulty you'll get good timing on idle but under load you will lack power.
