  1. Happy Birthday Kid! Hope you were able to blow out that many candles!
  2. Hey Kid (or should I say grownup now? Anyway hope you are having a great day, Happy Birthday!
  3. OMG I am a subaru addict's mom! Actually I have seen the above mentioned subaru in my rearview mirror for 943 of those miles, and hopefully one of these days I will see it drive on it's on power into my driveway. Now my subaru addict (alias Shawn) has converted me to driving a subaru and trying to find parts to repair my other subaru (anybody got a spare front end lying around for a 98 outback limited, in green of course if possible)
  4. well we live in the country, and a long ways from a Subaru dealership, so guess I'd have to go with just our 96 outback and our 98 outback that's waiting for front end parts.
  5. Ok we checked and it appeared pretty tight, but did have a click left in it, we're going to unhook the battery again tonight and then see if that helps. Otherwise we can take the cap off the 98 outback and see if that one is better. Will keep you posted and thanks.
  6. I have a brand new CCR engine in my 98 outback, but then I wrecked it! Need to really get busy and find all the parts to get back on the road. If you see any 30th anniversary OBW's that aren't crunched in the front let me know. I need everything from the bumper back to the fan belt cover Maybe we'll see you at Midwest if Shawn decides to come. No mud though!
  7. is this for that new great looking outback? I'm sure Shawn will be lots of help, I know he's always having to help me now that we have 2 outbacks. Now if I could just figure out why the CEL keeps coming on Hope you guys are keeping cool. Ann
  8. Hi, kinda new at this, both the message board and being a subaru owner. Our son, you probably know him as ShawnW, found us a 96 Outback, with the 2.2 engine. Well the first time the CEL came on, we had just washed the car and the engine, so we checked all the connections, called Shawn, unhooked the battery and it went away for a week or so. Then yesterday it popped back on again. Any thoughts on what might be causing this? Thanks for any advice Ann
  9. It would appear to take quite a bit to set off the airbags, we crunched our 98 outback clear back to breaking part of the fan belt cover (and everything in front of it is destroyed as well) and the airbags didn't go off. We were going about 30 mph at the time. We've been nervous taking parts off that we will set it off!
  10. Vicky, when we picked up Shawn's brat last night Tim's car was sitting at Mike's place. He said that Ian asked him if it was in his way because he probably couldn't bring it to you until first part of next week. Glad to hear everyone is getting home ok.
