Well, since I work at a SUBARU dealer...and I actually called the Parts Pick guys to check on the avalibility form/in JAPAN..... Now you see why I posted this. They are certinly not avalible anymore.
-
I called SUBARU today to check on some part numbers that didnt show avalible in the USA... 23610GA230 (XT6 rear hub) 25143GA270 (Right side backing plate, XT6) 25143GA280 (Left side backing plate, XT6) These items are no longer avalible from JAPAN, as they have gone obsolete...and there are no more in inventory around the planet. Now...I'll have to resort to custom stuff in the back...or if someone will trade me the 5 lug parts for my 15x8's...

I'm running the EVO 550's right now. The MegaSquirt has some issues still... however, I have got it to start nearly stock when cold and run rather well when cold. Warm cruise/load/boost is still off some...still working on it.
-
Its ecu controlled as well...for when the AC is on. That peice is no longer on my RX.
-
did that literally 3 mins ago.

550CC evo injectors. A stock evo idles perfect as we know... I had this same problem on the stock 185CC injectors. However, I did not have this problem on the stock ECU....

Front diff interchangeability: The true answer
WJM replied to WJM's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
You are forgetting 3.70 from an EJ. USDM WRX's are 3.70 in the front. The rear output has a reduction that makes it a 1.1:1 thus the rear diff is 3.545. -
Ok, so I'm finally getting all the small nit-picky stuff tuned on my RX with the Megasquirt. However, I am having to idle it very rich: anything between 10.5 and 12.0 and it idles perfect. Anything above 12.5 and it starts a dead miss randomly...and at 14.7 it wont idle at all. Now, EJ engines idle perfect with 13.5 and ~13 deg of timing. I tried that, and nothing. Has anyone see anything similar to this? Different? Do tell.

Fuseable links are NOT as cheap as normal fuses...either Fast blow or slow blow. That and you gotta rememeber that me and JWX have like...50% of the old school subies in the south east...the rest...either long gone, owned and running...or missing fuseable links.
-
So....everything was DEAD on my RX last night. Why? Fuseable link. Took me 4 hrs to find that out... why? The FL's were the first thing I checked... 0.0 ohms of resistance....CHECK 12.7 volts on BOTH sides of the FLs....CHECK Felt like new FLs......CHECK Looks like new FLs....CHECK HOWEVER...still nothing. Replace them with NEW FLs....everything works. ARG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to retrofit some slow blow fuses there instead.

As originally thought....Fuseable link. The original ones tested at 0.00 ohms resistance...and there was 12.7 volts on BOTH sides of them...they felt and looked fine too...exactly like a new one. I replace them all with new ones....now everything works.     -

The 4WD turbo boxes are plug and play with the EJ 5MTs. However, in North America, there are no Dual Range EJ transmissions. Aparently in Europe, it seems that the D/R was standard in foresters...every one that I came across has D/R. -

my guess is a fuseable link... The things I have hard wired (rad fan, rally lights) work fine. Batt has full voltage. HOWEVER...the key chime works too. But NOTHING comes on. Not even the manual parking light switch...or the interior lights. When I left the car last night, the light still worked, and the car was running. Shut it off, lock and close door...sleep...wake up...go out to start car, and nothing. I dont understand. -

And now....the car is dead. The apexi ground control box is still working, but everything else on the car is dead.  -

Tonight I got the IC plumbed for AIR and WATER. Got it tuned to run safely for now.... The SVT F-150 IC pump is so quiet you cant hear it run. Now, when the next peice comes in, the pre turbo intake will be done. -
I did NOT use the lock washer, and that allowed the nut to thread, nearly evenly, onto the shaft. The adapter did NOT slide all the way on, BUT it did BITE the shaft splines properly and with the nut impacted down...i'd say 80 ftlbs.....after 400 autox runs, 40k street miles and a day at a road course....oh, and 2 years later down the road...its A-OK.

Well. some IC piping hooked up...ordered some today...got the BOV setup ordered. Now, I need to finnish the intake to the turbo...and do the PCV system. -
Well...there have been exploded rods on EJ257's as well, but due to OTHER problem than the RODS.....
-
The turbo rods are the same part numbers as the NA rods. The rod bearings are different tho...

I still have the OBW. Its going to be the backup car once I get the RX running good to DD it and race it...and I sell my 05 RS. As for the clutch... I forgot that the Hi-Lo lever could be stuck in a 'neutral' position. :o :o -

Its running. I drove it home. However, it still needs a catback exhaust, all the intake plumbing, and the electric fan to work. From there...its tuning time and back to the autox action.
