  1. i wonder if a third eye could be modded into my legacy....
  2. there's always next year.
  3. if the manual has a center diff, what's the auto have. i know i've heard the answer to this before, but i can't recall
  4. i never said it was. i was actually asking. i know what the difference is.
  5. first off, yeah, 13 is bad and needs to be tended to. maybe mine could be tended to as well, but that's how it's been since i bought it 4 years ago. also, i don't have a gas pedal. i have a go and stop button.
  6. ok, then why in the posts about the 4x4 switch on auto's is everyone saying that it locks the "center diff"
  7. i've done it. makes it louder, didn't notice any major gains. never dyno'd though
  8. it seems this is very common. most of the old subie standards that come into the shop has that problem
  9. holding the clutch in won't wear any springs or the pressure plate are anything. you're not holding it long enough to weaken the springs. all that said before is just being WAY too over-cautious
  10. if anyone got to read my controversial thread "the ANTI gas mileage thread" then you'll understand my position on this topic. so, i'l just say:
  11. that it does...that it does
  12. i'd love to see a video clip of this thing in action. i've only seen a night-time light pattern picture (know what i mean?) the headlights and the one in the middle. but i didn't know it actually like, lifts up like an eyelid
  13. no mechanical damage can occur and it's good to get an alignment about every 10 - 15k miles. depending on how many potholes you hit
  14. i think we need to set some parameters here. alot of the comparisons are off base i.e. brat to legacy. you may as well compare a forester to an STi. the cars in comparison should be comparable. hatch - OBS GL/DL/loyal sedans - legacy GL/DL/loyal wagons - outback brat - baja (not much of a comparison) does this seem to be fare or am i being presumptuous (*sp)
  15. i've only heard rumors of the "third eye". never seen one, and never seen one in action.
  16. goto http://alliedarmament.homestead.com/ watch the scrolling pictures on the left. there's a few EA's and then an outback going sideways down a dirt road.
  17. i agree. anyone read the posts from the link i posted?
  18. i refer you all to page 4 of "Why an EA?" as to why i'm asking this. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50467&page=4&pp=10
  19. bigger car, bigger engine
