  1. i try and tell her but she just thinks that i'm being pompus in thinking that my car can do "anything"
  2. the snow here in pittsburgh is on and off. you have to be driving while it's snowing to have any fun. they've been pretty good (read: bad) with the roads this year so far so you gotta be lucky to get to take advantage of a snowy road. merry christmas to you too
  3. heh heh, i was hoping someone would catch on to that. i keep telling her that i dont do anything to my car that i know it won't be able to handle but she doesn't believe me.
  4. the alignment really shouldn't be affected being that everything from the engine, transmission, and suspention all drop down and withstain their stock formation
  5. yeah, i don't have anyone that can take action shots for me. my wife's against any misuse of cars
  6. well, the best way to make it "temporarily" go out and get it off your mind is some black electrical tape. other than that, it's not gonna go out until the problem is fixed and the codes are cleared.
  7. no no, i stopped the car about 2 feet from the bank and stomped on it. i also kinda cheated and dug a semi-ramp so that it wasn't a solid straight up wall. i wanted to do more of a crawl than an all out blast they're 205/75r15 trail mark radial apr's

heh heh, i did it because our f150 plow truck couldn't move the snow any further
  9. when was the last time you've had an induction service and the plugs and wires changed?
  10. it's so hard to force myself not to do that in the snow....it calls to me.
  11. yeah, i'd be hard pressed to buy a car with tires like that. tires like that means the previous owner didn't take care of it and lord knows what else didn't get taken care of. generally you want to stay away from a tire different of 4/32 or more.
  12. um....if you have a torn axle boot and lived in nevada i wouldn't be concerned....but you live in BOSTON. you need to get that repaired before that salt gets to it first....there'll be nothing left.
  13. you gotta keep in mind too that a lot of people join forums purely because they have a problem.
  14. oh, i see. i thought you just wanted to push it to the limits for ************es and giggles.
  15. agreed. the power just doesn't work that way. there are ways to convert it to rw but i don't know what it is and that's not it. it has been done though.
  16. hmm...never seen em' before.... ....how in the world did that happen
  17. i wish i were bringing my car out this christmas. i'd like to see the lifted ej22 against the stock 2.5. we'd have a blast.....
  18. an out of blance tire won't wear like that. if it's uniform wear on the outside edge then it wouldn't be from a wobble either. i'd put money on it that you got your alignment done and one of a few things happened; -they only did a front end alignment -they didn't do an alignment at all -their alignment machine needs to be calibrated -or, it just went out of alignment. that happens. go get it lined up by another shop and make sure that they give you the angle readings when their done.
  19. the most important question hasn't been asked yet..... why would you want to do this?
  20. the lamp assembly sit on a 4 point pivot hinge. up, down, left, and right. no no no no no. on the hellas there's no wing nut. it's a allen key. if you use the wiring provided, there are directions. it can get trickey, but it's not OVERLY complicated. you might need some help. if which case give me a PM, email, or hell, give me a call (412)559-1220 and i'll walk you through how mine's set up. if you use the car's wiring....you're on your own.
