  1. i think that th real question that should be asked is why has a 98 EJ25 have to have been replaces 3 times?? how many miles are on this car? you should be able to go from 150k to 250k without a rebuild.. maybe more
  2. i think i've heard of people lifting their gen 1 legacies. i, personally, lifed my gen 2 '96 LS with the outback struts.
  3. yes, confusing question. Allied Armament or mudrat are the guys to want to talk to
  4. and yes, it's more or less my dream car too, but i couldn't afford one when i bought mine, so i'm making my own SUS (do a search for "suba plow" and there's pictures of it.)
  5. SUS's are lifted. that's the point. if it doesn't have outback suspension, a hood scoop, big fog lights, a 2.5, and duotone paint, it's not an SUS
  6. new or newer or kinda new?
  7. i found a picture a few days ago of a subaru badge on the front of a car. it was a close up and it had ice covering it. i think the point of the thread was a "happy holidays" salutation. i've done multiple searches for it and can't find it anywhere! i need it for a video i'm making for a homework asignment. if anyone can help, i'd love them forever!
  8. i dont know..thats giving a lot of information to people who dont know how to use it THIS IS MY 600TH POST!!!!! ...i think this means i'm a big loser...
  9. its amazing having that be normal then i get into my parents' yukon and it's cruisin at 70 at 1200rpm
  10. i didn't say it was the only reason. a lot of people think that turning it into a fwd car will turn it into a honda. they forget to take into account that you're still turning the rear drive components and that takes power.
  11. that's not a legacy. that's a legacy body on something like a toyota or landrove frame. other than the body, there's nothing "subaru" about it.
  12. nipper, i've never heard of someone replacing a tierod just because it's old. a tie rod is good until it's bad. if you won't have any movement or play side to side (as you said) then you're fine.
  13. yeah. you're not doing it. get a shop to do it or rent a backhoe and use the arm to press the tire off the rim. the only thing about that is that you won't have a tire after that.
  14. this may be dumb question, but is the window backwards? and no, you may not be able to find a tech that's done it, but i'm sure a dealership will have an easy time figuring out how to. they've got all the goods on how to do stuff.
  15. i would suggest getting an old priest and a young priest yadda yadda yadda, you continue the obvious joke...
  16. you're worrying WAYYYY to much about this. get the oil changed when it feels right. i wouldn't go over about 5000. i do mine every 3k. bottom line, you don't HAVE to wait until the sticker says so, and it's NOT going to hurt anything to go a few hundred miles over what the sticker says. just don't be rediculous about it, be responsible and use your best judgment based on the color, level, smell, and time since last service and you'll be fine.
  17. he already has used ones but it looks like the consensus is that i'm wrong about the price, and i hope that's true. good luck to you
  18. you'd have to get a new rim. (i hope i didn't just insult your intelligence) the 6.5" rin is only good from 185 to 215 and 185's pushing it
  19. the fuse is really only there for emergencies (ie limping on a flat tire and/or can't get a flat bed so the car has to be towed with wheels on the ground.) it doesn't save gas mileage. i'd have to say get the car to a garage as soon as humanly possible, and until then, don't be scarred, stick the fuse in there!
