  1. at the Goodyear i work for, we just pump the brakes to get the old fluid out. works well and quickly. no complaints yet
  2. did you try running an induction service? I had a lean miss a few weeks ago that was caused by too much carbon build up. Induction fixed that right up.
  3. I was watching the videos of the subies going up the dunes in australia. Now i NEED a brush guard for my legacy! anyone know how to get one?
  4. And the Deseptive Dealership told her, and she believes them, that the honda AWD system is (or was in 2002) the most advanced AWD system in use...bull.
  5. Relative to what the manufacturers grades are. Remember, they grade their own tires so they can say how good or poor a tire is. But i'm only talking about treadwear. Temperature rating and speed rating are all on legally uniform grading scales.
  6. Rule #1, never buy tires online. Too many things could be wrong. 2, The ratings that are on the dealership tags on the tires are entirely based on their own ratings scale. ie, a Goodyear Treadwear 200 may be better than a Michelin Treadwear rating of 600.
  7. My girlfriend, Sarah, has a 2002 CR-v and i have a 96 Legacy LS. My legacy runs wonderfully in the snow and i havn't had any problems getting anywhere with it. Her CR-v has a hard time getting up hills in the snow, feels hard to control because of the height and width, and actually spins the front tires at stoplights no matter how soft you go on the gas. Bottom line, Honda needs to take a lesson from Subaru.
  8. my legacy, every once in a while, will chirp when i let off the gas after really romping on it. it'll go for months without doing it, then it'll do it for a couple of weeks, then not for months again. any ideas?
  9. BUY A NEW ENGINE!! There's a company selling 2.0L twin turbo engs for legacys and imprezas for $1350. say, go for it!
  10. I would make sure all of the panels are screwed in tightly and that there's no panels rubbing against eachother. Also maybe try spraying the hinges with PB Blaster. I've got a bump-sensitive squeek in the front of my car and it's the front bumper cover rubbing against the left front fender. might want to check that out in the rear. the bumper covers are really only held on by plastic screw-clips.
  11. Hmm.. In PA the emish machine fails a car if the CELs on. of course then we all just had to get new machines.
  12. i, personally, wouldn't want to put on a cheap, screw on, cv boot. the axle on my legacy isn't that hard to take out anyway
  13. send me 30 bucks and i will. i think that's how much it costs...20 or 30.
  14. I've got a 96 legacy LS. No scoop..obviously. But I want one. Anyone know if the hoods from 97 or 98 legs will fit fine on a 96?
