  1. yes yes...i posted this in the old gen. forum as well and it got moved....i guess that's a no no.
  2. I found that i can fit 215/70(possibly 75)R15 tires on my 96 Legacy LS without putting a lift or different suspension. For those of you who have moded your Brats or Legacys, if there anything needed to do as far as Power Steering Pump, Tie Rods, or Axles? Perhaps getting beefier ones? or will the stock stuff be fine to handle the bigger wheels

  4. i'm not woried about the speedo, but i bet putting 2 different sizes on would screw things up royally
  5. i would like to but i'm worried about killing my engine, transmission, and power steering pump with the huger tires.
  6. the unibody, it would hit only when turning the wheel to the farthest limit, so i guessi it would be possible to go up to a 215/75, but i wouldn't want to.
  7. The frame when turning i believe... i had a little more room before it hit the struts
  8. what color is your car? i've got a 96 legacy and would like a hood scoop. and you're in the "northeast", maybe we can swap
  9. So, i was bored at work today and decided to see what the biggest tire size is that will fit on my 96 legacy. Stock is 196/60R15 (LS model) and the biggest i could get to, without a lift or rubbing on anything, is 215/70R15!!! Quite a difference, and boy did it look odd. I'm wondering how it would drive with that big of tires on...:-\
  10. I went to Suburban Subaru and got the lights i needed. $6.75 for all 3, not bad. They are in and working. thanks for the help.
  11. Thanks everyone for the help, mucho good info. and maybe i'll try out that female user-name idea:brow:
  12. Anyone know of anything that works, or of anything that's interchangeable from an impreza perhaps?
  13. The light that illuminates my AC/Heater vent buttons, as well as the fan knob slowly dimmed away to nothingness. Is there anyway to replace this bulb, or is it some kind of LED, or do i have to buy a new unit??????? Anyone - help??? (and no, i didn't turn the dimmer switch down without noticing. The speedo light works fine) 96- Legacy LS
  14. i just put new plugs in my 96 leg and it was pretty easy...........minus, like you said, rear drivers side, but i managed without dissasembling anything.
  15. ....maybe it's in the door jam.....maybe not....:-\
  16. Lemme try to think of the discontinued GY.... Aquatred I, II, III Club Wingfoot Regatta Eagle I Any ring a bell?
  17. I'd recomend that you go to a dealership and ask what the requirements are to work there, and if they tell you that you need to be certified in Subaru, then ask where the most common place in the area is that their techs go to
