Goodyear Tires on '99 OBW
LosDiosDeVerde86 replied to Phillip's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXHowever, it's a boring tread pattern. I've got the Dunlop SP Sport A2's on my legacy and they work great.........except in snow. But they're lasting well and corner like mad

New Subaru-only Magazine?
I'm a subscriber to NO magazines. But, if the price is right, and it talks about all years and models and goes into custom stuff like street racer imprezas and off roader brats, I would subscribe in a second!

Interchangeable Parts???
What about engine mods?
-
Interchangeable Parts???
BTW, the reason i ask is that there seems to be an awful lot of parts available for the imprezas but not many for the legacys

Interchangeable Parts???
I'm looking to do a lot of stuff to my 96 Legacy and i need to know how interchangeable the parts are from the mid 90's model imprezas and legacys as far as custom parts go. I've seen inside of both and they look almost identicle, but it'd be nice to hear some second or third opinions

Subaru Flawed Paint
Yeah, but i just don't get it. They make everything cheap as hell, then they add on dumb stuff that's useless and a waste of money. i see this mostly on high-line cars, bmw, benz, etc

For my 96 legacy....how big of tires can i go???? (15" rims/ 195/60R15 currently.....or maybe 65....) [Legacy LS]- Subaru Flawed Paint
anyone else notice how easy it is to scratch the paint down to the undercoat? I've got a 96 legacy and it just seems like the paint is tissue thin.- INTERESTING: Secrets about emish. tests in PA
the new machine doesn't have a sniffer- INTERESTING: Secrets about emish. tests in PA
nope, the sniffer is only used on 96 and older. if there's no OBD2 there's no test- INTERESTING: Secrets about emish. tests in PA
for those of you who have or would like to mod you '96 or newer subie's exhaust system (hallow out cats or muffler) or anything that may effect the emishions, there is an easy way to get around failing the test upon inspection. 1. hide the OBD2 connector 2. Make a false OBS2 connector 3. disable the OBD2 connector Why? The new emishions tests in PA (maybe other states as well) get reading of the emishions from the computer via the OBD2. When the computer asks the tech if the OBD2 is accessible or found, the tech either chooses yes or no. if there is no OBD2 found, the test skips the emish completely. Also, with #2 and #3, if the computer cannot connect to the OBD2 the emish is skipped completely and is AUTOMATICALLY passed. Just some helpful hints for subie drivers in PA. Now let's see some mod soobs on the roads od PA!- 2.5 to 2.2 in 10 hours
LosDiosDeVerde86 replied to lmdew's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXevery garage was forced to buy a new machine that is to be used for '96 and up. they cost thousands of dollars. the gas cap pressure test is much for unforgiving and instead of sticking a probe in the exhaust, it connects directly to the OBD2. But as far as i know, and i work at an inspection station, there's no minimum for emish tests, only a max of $100. don't quote me on the price though, i'm not certified.- Sweet Impreza running forever...questions?
i said this in another thread. a 2.0 legacy twin turbo should fit in it. you might want to look into it. search e-bay, that's where i saw it. buy it now for $1350- does anybody know anything about these tires
LosDiosDeVerde86 replied to a post in a topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXBut be carefull. Not everthing is what they seem. ie, Goodyear tires as Walmart and, as far as i know, Sears, are not real goodyear tires and aren't near the quality.- Saab-aroo

Rear shocks: parts and labor - aprox: 2-300 per wheel Timing belt: p & l - aprox: 50-100 Valve cover gasket: depends on the vehicle- does anybody know anything about these tires
LosDiosDeVerde86 replied to a post in a topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThat's, more or less, what i was trying to say- CR-V vs. SUBARU AWD
and screw the Saabaru- CR-V vs. SUBARU AWD
And on the eighth day, God said that Subaru shall not be mentioned in the same sentance as GM.- CR-V vs. SUBARU AWD
oh yeah, i forgot the CR-v comes with a picnic table and chairs in the back. That's about the best thing going for it. On the up-side though, it gets a little better gas mileage than my legacy.- Losing coolant on 03 WRX
you can get a garage to test the pressure that a rad can hold, as well as the cap. subsequently, it also finds leaks in the rad. if they do that and nothing's wrong, i'd imagine it wouldn't cost anything. - Offroading ?
