  1. Ok.... I retract a couple comments then, I admit I never made it to a pond or rock fields, so I guess I havn't done the whole thing..... and I was not trying to insult anyone by saying I was the first, so relax guys. Havn't you ever wanted to brag after your big proving run?? But hell man I guess I will stop and just ask tech questions from now on.
  2. Hi Bill, just got a 91 legacy. How much would you run for some strut toppers? Thanks.

  3. Ok so it ended up being the water pump was siezed. Changed it out and works like a charm, now just gotta find a good thread on timing. Thanks for all the help guys.
  4. Ok just to make sure I have it in right does the spring on the thermo. sit on top or below? I know stupid question I just want to make sure.
  5. Ok I just bought a 91 Legacy and it is over heating. I changed the thermostat and all the fluid and it is still heating up. There is also no heat coming in when I turn it on. Anybody got any "maybes: that I can try or even the right answer would be cool to. Thanks for your time.
  6. Thanks for all the info guys, just sold the 83 to a friend of mine so it will stay in the family so to speak, and I will still get to work on it every now and then. So now to start another project!!
  7. yeah me to.:-\ just my luck the first time I get to brag and no proof.
  8. I didn't know it was a quad trail I entered after the trail head, and yes I know I'm a douche from time to time...... don't we all have a bone head moment every now and then. BTW sorry to all the quad riders out there.
  9. Ok I have decided to wheel the legacy, and sell the 83 in the appropriate forum of course. And the water wagon build thread has inspired me.
  10. Thats pretty much what I needed to know, and I have two in my area that could probably help me with the know how. Anybody wanna buy an 83?
  11. The only snow was way up on the top, none on the trails though. I will get the pics up soon, If you've seen this trail it is impossible to take shots of yourself or stop to do so. Gotta wait for all my jeep buddies that got shots as I went past to upload should be there by tonight! Oh an btw don't take yer subie on marked Quad trails.....they ticket for that.
  12. Hey guys, I am getting a smokin deal on an all wheel drive 91 legacy wagon and I have been lookin at different stuff for that year and the only lifts I find are SJR does anyone else make stuff for this year, or should I keep wheelin the 83 and keep the 91 on the street, I need to hear the bad more than I do the good. So please tell me about any downfalls that I could have wheelin this thing please.
  13. Ok so I went to the Little Naches area for memorial day weekend and was running around on the trails like a maniac and I found #676...... I was told by the "hardcore" jeepers to "stay the hell away with my little toy car." I proceeded to drive around them and up the trail just to see what was up. It is a "very difficult" trail. I completed it. The scout and lifted Yota that were with me didn't. I was told by the forest service cop that was monitoring the trail that I was the first Roo to make the last part. So if you ever head out around Ravens Roost ask about 676 and give it a shot, Make the Jeepers laugh then make em cry.
  14. So I should do the entire front end? struts engine trany? I want as little as possible, just enought to level it out.
  15. I have seen a couple people that have put 2" blocks on the front struts in the older ea81 models( mine is an 83) and then just crankin the big bolt under the seat. Is this option a good idea if you still daily drive your rig? Or would it put to much strain on the axle?
  16. I know about twenty people that have been lookin for some of those stickers, I am the only one that rolls a Subie though. Let me know what you would want for three of them for myself.
  17. I have had a really bad side to side shake in my 83 gl wagon's steering. Recently the bearing on the power steering tensioner pulley went out and I had to drive it home with the belt off, the woble went away and the steering was perfectly smooth. I got the new bearing in and hooked up the belt and the woble is back with vengence. Could this be the steering rack? and also is there a non power steerin unit that I can hook up? thanks guys.
  18. Are there any other years that will match the mounts or atleast close to it. I would like to put the spring loaded style on, just have no idea where to start.
  19. Dang, I think I will have to get a lift on before I try to follow you around.
