  1. http://www.numbchuxconversions.com/Files/EA2EJ.pdf Couple hours here is a sound investment for your friend...
  2. Thanks Suberdave! The series of pics on your site with no front body work helped a bit. Do you remember how tight it was around the towers? Could you get your hand down between the valve covers and the body? Thanks again, Jason
  3. Car is looking great! How did your radiator mounting turn out? Jason
  4. Looking to save some time and effort... Car is '87 RX, stock DR5MT. Long term plan is for an EJ20G transplant. How much clearance do y'all have between the cam covers and the "frame horns"? I'm adding some structural reinforcement under the strut towers (bay side), and don't want to take up too much space. http://www.faberit.com.au/rxrally/Pics/RX_Docs/36.jpg Plate "E" is the item in question. Thanks, Jason
  5. Pulled an '82T out of a parts car for my RX zzz Scored $150 mounted Blizaks on Craigslist Found another rockin' RX parts car for xmas I'm starting to run out of parts car parking.... And the wife is running out of humor
  6. I don't see an EA series radiator on their site, is that a GC unit? Have you had a chance to fit it up in the car yet? Such a pretty up-pipe doesn't deserve a JetHot turbine housing? Lookin' forward to seeing the build. Best of luck, Jason
  7. All the more amazing coming from the NE land of winter salt. Thanks for sharing the pics, you made my morning! Did he let you lift the hood? Jason
  8. I tried to contact Chad DiMarco last week for the same info. I'm not having any luck either... It has to be a damn conspiracy!
  9. I started looking through some of your 700ish threads, trying to glean some RX knowledge. Unfortunately, most of the older pics have expired. There was one thread, circa '05, speaking of parts you removed from a GL10 sedan to be welded to the RX. What all did you take? Thanks, Jason
  10. Don't know what the book is really called.... If only we had the first page Seems a majority of the stuff is based on factory comp. parts, but the body mod section is interesting. Just based on the pics of the plates they add to the unibody, should be able to fab something close. I'm hoping to find some pics of the cages they ran to gain some more insight into the body's weak points.
  11. They actually call it the Mad Bomber:rolleyes: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/61219?from=SR&feat=sr If the last week is indication of things to come, I need to add one to my xmas list. Clearing snow is just brutal up here.
  12. If not for the thousands of miles, I'd gladly bring over an LLBean Unibomber hat and a thermos of steaming cocoa....
  13. Oh yes! IMO, well worth the cost for removing the responsibility of chemical disposal. Not to mention that they got it ALL out, not just the stuff accessible throught the small openings that could be illuminated with a pen light...... If you have an active car club in your neighborhood, you can hit 'em up for a good shop or restoration guy. I just called around to the radiator shops in my area and went with the cheapest guy that didn't annoy me on the phone. I paid $50, prices were between $30 to $70 if I remember correctly. Best of luck, Jason
  14. WJM - (assuming we're talking about the same book) do you have the first nine pages; the ones not included on the Faber rally web page? RE: factory rally cars: Know of any coupe interior pics detailing the safety cage structurals? I've spent a whack of time combing the 'net.... Thanks, Jason
  15. Very cool wagon! I'll extend a welcome, but I'm pretty new here myself.. I recently started a '76 sedan with similar fuel system issues. I pulled the tank and had a radiator shop clean the inside. All the fuel residue and loose coating was removed, and it's ready for the POR15 tank resto stuff when I have a couple of hours handy. Welcome aboard! Jason
  16. 1976 DL sedan: Rear view mirror Side view mirror or a set of fender mirrors 4wd mudflaps 14" minilites:) Thanks! Jason
  17. Even with 300lbm of sand in the back of my truck, it still sucks. Wife's '03 wagon with Blizzzzzaks saves the day:) "Yes, boss, I'm stuck in the snow too..." Yea, right!
  18. Sucks that it didn't work out. I'm looking forward to seeing the re-covered pad. What did you have to do for preparation for the upholsterer? Thanks, Jason
  19. How's the dash repair holding up? I'm itching for the method...
