  1. O.K. I have my pic's in photobucket now and I managed to post one of them on my facebook site, but I'm still confused as to how to post them on usmb? I've used the search function looking for help with this matter but to no avail. Look's like I'm not the brightest bulb on the chandelier.
  2. I'm presently researching/troubleshooting the cold start problem I'm having with Rusty, my 1991 SPFI ea82 4WD wagon. It seem's like it's only banging away on a couple cylinder's until It get's warmed up, then it run's fine. I put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator so my heater work's better during this frigid weather we've been having. Pic's to come soon as I get enough post's.
  3. Do you have a pm address so I can send you a pic of what I need? I'm not sure of the technical name of it. It's probably called a evap vac solenoid or something? Need it for my 91 ea82 Loyale wagon

    4WD.

  4. I replaced the thermostat with a 192F . Checked the plate on the driver's door pillar and it say's date of manufacture - Oct. 90 My new registration says "91" I finally got rid of the wheel bearing noise after changing out the left front wheel bearing over at Todds. Named my sub: Rusty-the Infamous Rust Wagon.
  5. It's your heater core for sure. I have a Merc in my driveway I only use during the summer because it had the same issue's. I just bypassed the core so I could keep driving it. I attempted to change it out once but eventually gave up because it was so far out of my realm. Some are very hard to do if you don't have the expertise and knowledge to tackle them. I tend to think the core was the first part they hung on the assembly line and they just built the rest of the vehicle around it. :-\ Sometimes electrolysis can be a factor with radiator and heater core failure. Check the PH in your coolant.
  6. Hey, I live in Burien and I'm going to need some welding. I'm going to go up north and fetch my 90 Loyale 4WD wagon this week. There's some rust issue's. pm me at darsdoug@yahoo.com and I'll send some pic's of the Loyal

  7. How did you post a pic of your sub? I've been trying to post a pic of my 90 Loyale but to no avail. This is darsdoug the usmb newbie.

  8. I've been getting some Subaru engine repair knowledge from watching the tech video's on the milesfox website. Subaru engines were a singularity to me until I watched a few of those.
  9. Yes, His name is Todds He's on here somewhere. I live seventy mile's away from him and every time I want to work on my Loyale I have a bit of a drive. I just need to transfer the title and stuff and replace the other wheel bearing and I'll be able to bring it home. We replaced the wrong one when I was up there last weekend. Musta been the Red Bull's ?
  10. A good friend of mine has finally recruited me into the realm of Subaru's. He live's and breathe's Subaru's. At one time he had 35 Sub's in his pasture. He's been telling me for year's what fun they can be and how easy they are to work on. He even sold me one [$150] just so he could convince me. We spent yesterday changing out a front wheel bearing and just puttering around with my first 90 Loyale wagon, and ...well..., I've got to admit, I think I'm hooked. It has the five speed manual trans with the push button 4WD. It is, I must admit, fairly easy to work on. I'll post some pic's of my first Sub as soon as I can.
