  1. entire kit will cost around $300 i got: hood hood scoop mirrors bumper door edge guards door handles and yes, the dealer installed it for me. stuff is very much invisible until you're about 8" from the car it's very durable and has saved my paint!!! Jamie
  2. not something i'd recommend installing yourself. leave it to the pros. www.stongard.com www.rockblocker.com here it is on my car - you cant see it coz it's clear :
  3. subaru owners bitched when the legacy came out they bitched when the svx came out they bitched when the impreza came out they bitched when the baja came out.... this is nothing new The B9 is not aimed at the current Subaru owner it's aimed at a market that Subaru has yet to tap into. A whole new realm of Subaru owners are about to join us. as far as SUV... yep and nope. this car is not "that big" - it really isnt HUGE SUV OHMIGOD It is slightly bigger than an outback as far as the grill? Subaru said they were returning to their roots with some of the design of this car... grill didnt bother me as much once i compared it to the classics i adore well???
  4. nah. IMHO you are way wrong i thought that too til i saw it in person. it's not for me, i wont be buying one but it IS luxury and IS big leap for Subaru they'll sell loads of em... this car is going to do really well. Jamie
  5. you may love it... you may hate it... but you better get used to it coz it will be here soon went to the Portland Auto show to see the B9 Tribeca first hand I was overall - impressed by the luxury of this car. Subaru has definitely stepped it up - dvd, homelink, touchscreen naviation, mp3 and more Crowd comments were that of admiration.... it's a lot different when you see it in person Jamie Full stories and more photos here<---
  6. drain that crap out of your diff now.... or very soon you will be very very sorry!!! Diffs take gear oil AT trannies and Power Steering = ATF Jamie
  7. which car do you have? really, removing the dash isnt too difficult on these cars although, to access most radio areas you will need to remove bits of the canter console to expose some of the hidden screws/clips... Jamie
  8. another vote for Redline D4 not too expensive at: www.summitracing.com Jamie
  9. www.halspartsandservice.com or www.aaronsauto.com worth a shot ! jamie
  10. on subaru impreza models in the U.K. the rear fog is actually one of the "reverse" lights built into the tail light (rh rear side IIRC) true that it lights up bright red and is for use in heavy rain or fog Jamie
  11. www.allsubaru.com dont see what you need? email me, us.. erm... them (all one and the same) Jamie
  12. are you checking the oil level with the engine cold? Jamie
  13. have the car tested before you go any further. that's my thought that's my recommendation your symptoms point to headgasket failure. get the car checked before you spend hours/money invested chasing a ghost save yourself the aggravation Jamie
  14. defo sounds like head gasket issue. have it sniffed for hydra-carbons in the coolant best get it checked out before dumping more $ in it.... Jamie
  15. actually most dealerships i've been at/worked for/gone to.... employ only 1-2 techs which specialize in the CEL/electrical issues... most of the 'other' techs do not delve into electronics... thus the lack of knowledge *shrug*
  16. try this http://www.car-handbooks.com/Impreza.html
  17. sounds like your factory keyless/security has goofed up you can consult your manual and try to reset it... or visit any Subaru dealership to get it sorted. Jamie
  18. yeah what you're describing sounds like a bad wheel bearing but this is difficult to diagnose via the interent Jamie
  19. so this grinding noise only happens when you are braking? it's not constant? and you put on new pads and rotors? when?
  20. the only thing you're going to do... is risk a huge ticket... that's about it car should be fine. Jamie
  21. you should be able to order just that bit from subaru you're talking about the lower portion of the rear hatch struts with the ball socket in it? yeah... msrp is about $7 each I can get them for $5.25 each and $4.50 shipping let me know if i can help but yes, you can get this from subaru. Jamie
  22. coolant conditioner is for SOHC's and stops EXTERNAL HG leaks only the warranty implied is for EXTERNAL HG leaks only not internal not the DOHC if these cars have oil in coolant, that's likely an internal leak thus.... the conditioner has no effect. i've personally seen it stop leaks.... *shrug* it's not the be all cure all, but it does seem to help in some cases Jamie
  23. definitely sounds like clutch slippage to me 74k is good mileage on a clutch. sounds like it's time for a new one! Jamie
