  1. That thing is sweet I want his wheels...... I want this vehicle... Needs more lights tho thats just my two cents. It is freaking sweet tho
  2. Okay thanks for that! Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a "kit" that includes; All or most of my gaskets and seals? Cause I've been looking on Ebay and I'm seeing if you guys know of a good place that gives you a good deal on this kit? Im re doing all my seals and everything just so it'll run cherry on the first start up. I dont need all of them like my HG's, and such thats why I dont wanna buy a FULL kit TIA
  3. Got everything outta SAM today now I am starting to put the 4x4 in.. Just have some questions Yesterday I picked up a deep cycle battery its 15"wide and 6" deep I was thinking of putting it in the spare tire compartment but im gonna need to shave some room for it to fit snug..Has anyone else put batteries in the spare compartment?? I noticed I can move the terminal cables easily to there but the positive is connected to some fuses that attach to the side of the coolant reserve tank, how can I extend those.... Secondly Miles...or anyone for the hole inside where the shifter(s) go, do I need to widen this hole??? it seems like it but not too sure and I dont want to widen it too much.. I was just gonna put the jack that comes with the car in there and just jack it open Thanks in advance guys!
  4. Nothing too special got motors out of both cars, gonna take it easy and cath up on some work then installation shall begin. Anyways....
  5. Hmmmm quick question..... I dis-connected the drive shaft from the end of the transmission (Oil went ever where dumb on my part) Now is it okay if I keep the driveshaft in one piece just take the bolts to the carrier mount off and take it out with the rear end? I have a feeling I'm gonna have to take the rear end out all in one piece....
  6. Mine doesn't seem to have the carrier bearing mount unfortunately. And yes these motors are very easy to work on I love it! It's like a cheap tank haha thanks for that information, I havent seen to many sedans on here the 4x4 ones anyways.....Pics Tomorrow....
  7. Ah ok wasn't sure thought I'd ask cause I got some trailer wheels debating hard if I should put them On.....Im thinking I'll just wait til I can get some of those
  8. haha Miles pretty much got it all. And yes mine is a SEDAN FWD. I'm hoping this will go well, Seeing that I dont have a garage. I'm working on taking the engine out soon (from the wagon) My father tells me the best way is to take everything out the engine bay? Ill try and get pictures so you guys can see what I'm working with
  9. Its finally getting nice out and I can start my project Long story short: Taking everything from (A 89 "Viking" Wagon 4x4) the transmission all the way back and putting It into my 1993 Loyale Sedan. I got most everything figured out, Like switching the gas tank, welding some spots for the drivetrain. But What would I do about the brake lines? Leave it how it is or do I have to switch it all out with the Master Cylinder? And Is there anything else I need to know about that would make this swap a lot easier?? Hopefully this will be fun. *The 4x4 is not push start it has the lever below the gear box Thanks!
  10. So what would be the "ideal set up"? when doing a swap cause flooring it all the way to barely hit 65 isn't fun, And hills are worse. Getting a engine that will "throw" me in my seat a little would be nice. Im liking the ej22...
  11. This thing is SWEET. I've been thinking of someway to do this to my Subaru for YEARS. Doin a good job cant wait to see it. Think this would work ina loyale sedan?!
  12. I like the way you're thinking Shorty Definitely something to look into
  13. Definitely Not just for sound I just want the extra horses when need be plus its gonna be hauling the front bumpers small cage inside and a roof rack all custom so Its gonna weigh some serious lbs
  14. Well I'm not gonna be doing any hard wheeling, Mainly because I would be worried about mud and dirt getting in the spool or blowing it after entering a mud pit. I guess I just want to have more power on the free way pushing big tires and being able to get around fairly quick . Everyone loves the sound of that turbo whistle. If this was possible could I do straight pipe? I'd love to get the regular exhaust but that four inch tip that comes in WRX/STIs would be ridiculous on a rig. So im thinking straight pipe if possible. How loud would it be if I just cut the exhaust in half? Cause we all know EA's sound like a bat outta hell with the exhaust cut plus it doesn't put damage on the motor. Would same apply for a STI motor or.....?
  15. I have a 93 Loyale And there is no way im gonna keep that transmission haha. If anything I wanna swap out everything underneath with whatever (ej22, 25, drive train) And luckily I have some buddies that are wizards with wiring. Just seeing if its smarter to run a non turbo motor. Never really seen a turbo off road-er
  16. Pretty much says it all im wondering if it would be (smart) to put A STI motor in my rig just to get more power out. I'm kinda working on the impossible here.:DI'm pretty sure I know the answer but is it worth it or should the swap just stay with a Legacy motor or so?
  17. No it did not. I would try and start it but it wouldn't start, I thought it was my timing belts but it was not, Thats why im thinking fuel pump..
  18. I finally have some time to work on my rig today. The number one thing to do is check my fuel pump. I got the three bolts off and disconnected it all. Now how exactly do I inspect the Pump to see if its ok or not?? Mine is a little caked in mud... Thanks In Advance
  19. I dint know that (about Outboard A/C), welp learn somethin new everyday anyways will I still be able to use the same mounting brackets just minus the A/C?
  20. I'm trying to take off my A/C but do not know how to properly discharge the ac unit. How do you do that? And does the alt mount up the same even though part of the bracket wont be there? I haven't seen many pictures of rigs with out a ac or anything of that nature its the EA 5sp FWD TIA..
  21. Yes the Outback is mine as well thoughts I'd show that one too I have the whole process of masking the light bar somewhere....Just used the stock cross bars from a wagon gl (parts car) and got the lights and usedthe brackets that came with it Ill get thos pictures for you
  22. (Semetrical Allwheel Mobbin) Well I joined recently and after figuring out how to upload pics I thought I'd introduce you guys to SAM 5spd EA82 non turbo 100+ thousand miles all stock except lights on roof. Plan on making it 4x4 lifting it doing the WHOLE nine yards plus a couple more I want to do a snorkel and custom bumpers dont know too many people that weld I have too big of a dream with a little account:( But its okay if youre a subaru owner you know you love missions:D Its a fun lil rig I hope to build
  23. Finally got around to uploading some pics heres my stock offroading expierience My car use to be green! I SWEAR!!!
