  1. if you crank the height all the way up it decreases the life span of your cv boots the hill holder is when your on a hill and you depress your clutch and break at the same time you can let go of the break and it will stay engaged untell you release the clutch so you don't roll back as much.

  5. haven't done much with it yet just unhooked the bat im rebuilding the carb right now so after its back on ill try to check it out i was just wondering if anyone else had this problem
  6. i had it at a shop for a mechanics diagnosis of why it was not running right he said the carb needed to be rebuilt so i had it towed home so i did not have to fight it home it was not making this ticking nose when the tow truck picked it up and it was on a flat bed so i don't know what happened
  7. 85' hatch, EA-81 so i had my car towed home and now with the bat hooked up the driver side dash is making a ticking noise i don't know what it is right now i have my battery unhooked and that stopped it any ideas?

  10. what i do is go around with a can of carb cleaner and spray vacuum lines and connections one by one and listen to the idel if it changes you found your leak good luck
  11. i had a simmiler issue with my ea-81 and my mechanic said that the fuel pump was putting to much gas in the carb and flooding it out and thats what caused mine to rough idle and die
  12. the sensor on theses cars sucks so before you change anything else out put in an aftermarket gauge just to make shur that you presser gauge system is not your problem
  13. that crash sounds like what happened to my parents in their 01' vw cabrio

  16. I'll throw my two cents in from experience with my bug i had something like that happen i sheared the gland nut that holds the flywheel to the crank the person i got it from over torqued the bolt on and me hoping on it sheared it. just my two cents

  18. i think i messed up i went to take off the small hose thats on the inlet for the carb and well the little brass pipe broke off how hard is it to get a replacement or can just jb weld it back on [click for larger]
  19. well if you have a feedbacked carbed car the o2 signal goes through the ecm/u then to the carb and adjusts the fuel air mixture almost like fi. but with a carb

  21. so iv been looking around would i need to nab the ecu if use megasquirt? and if i do use megasquirt what would i need to do conversion wise?
