With my old clutch it took some major slipping to develop the smell, but on the replacement which I was told was OEM with all the fixins' it doesn't take nearly as much to make it smell. Almost to the point I think it's not quite right. However (big however) I havn't had any judder with the new clutch for 10K. So it's a little give and take I suppose.

This was after driving a while so my engine was at op temp as well. It makes sense because the day I lost the most coolant was the day I was pushing the rpm's. It dropped about an inch in the resevoir tank by the next morning. Filled it back up and drove caustiously that day and the tank didn't drop at all by the next morning.

http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=64980&highlight=radiator A little more investigative work turned up this thread. Description sounded just like mine. I looked at the radiator cap and sure enough there was a small stream running down the side. I followed it all the way down the fan shroud as well. I don't know how I missed this initially. I cleaned it off and will have to see if it does it again to confirm my findings.

Well I just got done with a thorough inspection, and the good news is that it is not a headgasket. the bad news is it's the radiator. I found where there is some weepage at the bottom of the radiator where the plastic basin connects to the aluminum part right above the bottom radiator hose. I had the additive put in around 105,000 and now I have 160,000. I'm thinking of adding another bottle to see if it will seal up the leak.

I'm sorry I was a little vague. I mean the coolant conditioner for 00-02 OB. The stop leak that Subaru is using to prevent external headgasket leaks. Unfortunately I have been smelling a faint whiff of antifreeze. It may be something else. I haven't had the oppurtunity to really inspect yet. 00 OBW.

Finally got it figured out. I got inside the car with the glass slid back with enough room for my head and flashlight to fit in from the backseat of the car. I figured out what was bent, but could not get it put back into it correct position (tabs on either side that run on the track). Then I notice 2 springloaded stops on either side. At first I tried to reach them with a long screw drive to no avail. I looked around for something long and slender and was having no luck until I found my sons toy sword. It was thin enough to get back in there , and I was able to flip the stops up one at a time and push the shade back.

2000 OBW Just wondering if anyone here has had a stuck rear shade and how possibly to fix it without removing the liner. I think it is off the tracks but it is next to impossible to see back in there. The shade opens and closes with the glass, but the noise it makes is not pretty. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
