Thanks Ruparts!!! I bought the one... one was the right part number ( I have a complete part number catalog for the car.) the other was not... Well looks like L.B. will finally be getting his new bumper Thanks again!!!!

I am planning on trying to get him put back on the road very soon..The Impreza has WAY to many miles on it for the year ( 72K and its a 2008) and the garage is needed for my 78 Datsun since the shipping company blew its electrical system out and it is now a long term project. Went out the other day and started L.B. for the first time since probably Oct... the jump pack..a squirt of starter fluid..and he fired right up and was purring like a kitten. He really only needs a couple thing to be road worthy... STILL desperately looking for a rear bumper( its been what...2 years now?) a bunch of trim clips for the molding... and tires. Havent decided if I am going to still do the rear disk swap on him or not since he is basically being turned into a spring/summer/fall beater....I can't bring myself to let him touch the road in winter due to salt. Just wanted to let y'all know he is still around and still alive.

My Datsun 280Z got damaged in shipping...and waiting on a claim.. But it is now sitting in Danbury at the Z Car specialist trying to figure out what is wrong with it ( It ran and ran good when it left California... arrived here not running and had trim pieces knocked off as well as a major oil leak)

I just need a good notice..cause I just got slammed with a repair bill that has wiped out my savings and now I only have from now until the end of May to replace so I can take my trip in June ( and I can not cancel that because everything is non-refundable)

June 4-5th I will be in California...

You guys work out a date that works for y'all.. Like I said... weekends that are out for me are April 16-17th,, Then June 1-6 I will be in Cali for a convention.. So you work out the dates ..and I will have the place and food etc.( Bwahahaha titpicnic)

I want to go to carlisle ..but I wont have the car I want to take ready...cause it wont even be here at my house until April 16th....and then the first week in June I will be in Cali for a convention. Car is being picked up today out in california ..by my friend who will be storing it for about 3 weeks until it gets shipped east... I can not wait.

I wish that idiot who hit my Amigo at work would DIAF... this would have been so much fun to do..... I miss my Amigo.

Steve.. you guys will have to let me know whats good for you.. It probably will be about a month till the 280Z gets here from Cali.. waiting for a second maybe 3rd car to need shipped.. discount price and easier for shipper.

Guess I should plan another cookout for this year and maybe have a put L.B. back together..and Meet Bluestreak ( the 280Z) party.

So once again.. Putting my coupe into new hands has failed. Right as I had 2 interested parties ready to look at it... my husband says he doesnt want me to sell it. We will move it outside and keep it covered ..and in the winter rent a storage garage to move either the coupe or the 280Z into to keep them safe. I almost fell over in shock when he said..I could have 2 rare cars if i keep it.. those who know my husband know... he is NOT a car guy. Plus he thinks I am giving it away..with the amount of work that is in it..not to mention all the new parts . So its back on the bumper search again ( and you know ..I find it funny that both L.B. and the 280Z are almost the same stinking shade of BLUE!)

When I was changing the one in my coupe.. I twisted it and tapped it ( Lightly!!) with a rubber mallet until it finally popped out. Granted I wasnt planning on keeping it..I was swapping in a new one after seeing the pictures on the wear they develop and why it was better to swap in a new one.

Since intrest is about zero on my coupe..I will probably be parting it out..cause it does HAVE to go... if you want to use my motor until you get yours going..let me know. ( and if I do part mine out.. you have first dibs as always promised on the side badges)

If anyone hasnt seen in the For Sale section... I am selling my 83 coupe to make room for the car I have dreamed about since I was a kid. I got a deal I couldnt pass up on. I am now the owner of a 76 Datsun Fairlady 280Z. It was found for me out in California by a friend of mine who does some brokering work for us rust belt shmucks. Its a rust free car.. paint is just sunbaked... 98k miles..complete running car. needs a couple of the injectors replaced but thats all... seats are perfect..interior good has a few small cracks in the dash ( common) .. Only downfall is its an automatic.. but for the price..I can deal with that and swap it out later. I have never been so excited about a car before. anyway here is a pic... He wont be coming home for awhile..going to wait for the delivery prices to drop.

Steve is correct.. the bumper can only come from a coupe or sedan..due to the mounting ( I have to double check if its FWD specific also..drawing a blank right now) Prefer with uprights but right now I will settle for a good one... this is mine and dont let pic fool you.. the underside was rotted away I dont need the end caps or the mounting struts.. I have restored the ones I have... just need the beam.

In talks with someone right now about a rear bumper...may need to find the black trim strips ..but I believe that will be easier. Paulyburger!! Our friend isnt sure if he is moving back or not..but for personal reasons he will be visiting much more often. Kyle!! your a friend of mine on FB LOL.. you should know I have been busy with my Transformers Convention and my collector clubs... Since I am an administrator for a couple..they have been keeping me busy. Well I talked to the guy doing my paintwork on my couple the other day... I was having an estimate done on my Impreza where someone hit it...grrrrrrrrr. And I got the bug to get the coupe going. ( My Imppy will go in next week hopefully to be fixed...and I am thinking on having a custom paint job put on it too )

Yup Still alive.. ( sorry to disappoint y'all) . Yesterday my dear love like a brother friend stopped over. He is probably the most talented mechanic I know...( here visiting from Cali till the 10th) . We were working on stripping down my Isuzu Amigo to swap parts into his. Anyway... he has never heard my coupe run since the new motor was put into it...Oh yea..I still have my coupe..in the garage covered in cobwebs...hoping to someday actually find a rear bumper so it can go to the body shop. L.B. fired right up first try and settled into a lovely purrr. ( He did blow some oil smoke though upon start up) I was told that I have the quietest running EA81 that my friend ever heard...and he has owned a multitude of them. I gave props to those who did my motor and Weber. He then told me that I really need to get that car on the road. Its even super rare out in Cali. He also has been looking for months for a rear bumper for me with no luck. So.. Just wanted to let y'all know that the coupe is still alive and well..in the garage safe from rain/snow/ and sun-baking.

So where are the pics??? Sorry I missed it..but with my funds all tied into going the the Botcon Convention next month..and the fact that my coupe STILL doesnt have a rear bumper..I wasnt going to come down... Hopefully next year..but depending how things go.. might not be with a Subaru.. could be with a gen 1 Amigo Glad y'all had fun
