  1. If you have an extra 2" kit give me a price shipped to FL
  2. Are all ea 82 seats interchangeable? How about early legacies, foresters, etc?
  3. I have a carter weber 1bbl on my 82 brat. It's in need of a rebuild and I havent had any luck in locating a kit. That would be my first choice of action. I also have a good to go ea82 manifold with a hitachi. That would be my second choice. I know that the weber 32/36 is the overwhelming feel good choice on this board, but not in the cards right now. Any thing to pay attention to regarding plumbing if I decide to make the switch? ea 81 0r 82 manifold gaskets, source, extraneous stuff I can rid myself of? Emissions are not a problem. Thanks
  4. Anyone have a good front shot of an ea-82 showing a good view of pulley and adjuster placement? I got a little brain dead after taking mine apart last week and good use a little visual guidance. Thanks
  5. After watching my pug alloy and tire pass me on the road and dodging two lanes of traffic I invested in adapters from a vw parts house. They cost about $20 shipped to the east coast and no problems. Google vw acorn lug adapter and I'm sure that will solve your problem. David Upon further review http://www.vwparts.net/MB9508.html
  6. As a result of a similar experience, I am in need of 4 pug alloy lugs.
  7. Ried the same fix on my manual 99 forester and it worked like a champ. Thanks USMB!!!

Anyone with experience with SJR or HTI lifts. Does the 2" SJR ea 82 suspension lift eat axles? I've also not seen feedback on any HTI products, although the roofrack looks impressive in photos. Anyone purchased an ea 81 or 82 lift from HTI? Opinions welcomed. Thanks.
  9. I currently have an 82 brat dl with an am radio. Would ;ove to put in a newer soob radio with weather band, cd player but am at a loss as to where to begin . I'm old school, as in 8 track and even pre fm radio, so I don't need to worry about ipod or sat radio. I am a bit confused with din connections and the sort. My last radio install was in A BRAND NEW 75 Ford Pinto. All I had to worry about was new speakers, power, antenna plug, and a good ground. Any words of wisdom from the newer school? I am just interested in listening to my sounds, not inflicting them on passersby or registering on the Richter scale. Thanks.
  10. I have 185/80/13's on a 1988 gl wagon with no problems.
  11. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm picking it up tomorrow.
  12. I have a chance to buy an 88 gl wagon FI/DR for the right price. Owner says that he broke the drivers side t belt and replaced both belts and tensioners. Car had been reliable DD until then. Now it sputters and spits back through the throttle body. His mechanic advised him that car would need a valve job as he likely bent a valve. It is my understanding that all ea82 engines are non interference and this would not likely be the case. My guess would be that it is a t-belt that is off by a tooth or so, and that the fix although tedious would be relatively simple. Comments and feedback greatly appreciated.
  13. Does anyone have anything good to say about these engines? It seems as if the overwhelming majority would rather have a root canal than an ea-82 turbo. Anyone having a good time with their's?
  14. Thanks
