  1. Just replaced the struts and axles. No more clickity clack or squeak and clunk. Rides better than I dreamed.
  2. If you don't mind me asking, where did you buy them from?
  3. That's the problem I'm running into. Can't find em around here
  4. I did some more research on carparts.com. From what I've gleamed of the net and the forums it looks pretty sketchy. If you bought struts for your suby, where did you buy them?
  5. Have you ordered from them before, because that price seems insanely cheap.
  6. Good news: Rockauto verified it was a catalog error. they sent me a shipping label and are accepting it as a return. Bad news: it will be at least a couple weeks before I can get the right ones and get them installed. Work sucks, kids. Don't ever do it. Become homeless.
  7. Yup, that's what it should look like. Calling them today. Hopefully they won't give me to much crap. I'm over the 30 day warranty by 10 days.
  8. If the spring perch is the rectangle price of metal the bolts go through, it looks like it's welded on. Don't see any mounting holes in the new one.
  9. It's an acdelco, if that helps. Not sure what you mean by Saches, guessing brand name. Not sure about the sorting perch. It didn't come with one. Do I have to buy those separate. The fact that it doesn't have the spring perch on it was one of the reasons I was worried it was the wrong one.
  10. They seem to be the same size in diameter. I havent checked them with calipers but they seem the same. Not exactly sure how to cross referance the numbers on the old piece. Bought the new one from Rockauto, the parts number on the struts I have matches the ones they say my car needs.
  11. I'm replacing the struts on the Brat, and the new ones look nothing like the old ones. I know this is a common issue with aftermarket parts, but these look so different I think I got the wrong ones. What do you think?
  12. Just went out and checked the the tires and it looks like I'm about there already, sucks I was hoping to get a couple more inches.
  13. Sorry, it's my Brat, the one in my photo.
  14. I don't want the tires to tow in. I don't want a stiff suspension. I don't want to blow CV joints every time I turn around. I am going to be putting a Webber conversion on it. I would like it to have the same amount of power as it does without the Webber. If not more. This thing does not need a super lift on it. I just want it to look good on the occasional logging road rally, while still being comfortable on the occasional 300 mile road trip over the pass and back. I think I listed all my demands, any ideas? Lol
  15. Yup, that was the problem. May have to sand the dash down. The plug-in comes from the back of the dash and isn't quite flush. I also grabbed the 10 from my truck. Hook up the amp tomorrow. 2 6x9s and a 10 for the brat.
  16. Thanks, that reminds me of the problem I had when building a CMoy amp. It was doing the same thing my car is doing now. Turned out the connector didn't fit properly and I had to pull it out a touch to make everything line up. I knew I'd had this problem before, just couldn't remember when or how I fixed it. Thanks again
  17. by flushed I ment, drained it when I was chasing down an overheating problem, then drained it again so I could add the correct amount of antifreeze. Drained it when I was swapping the heater core, then refilled with the correct amount of antifreeze. :water:
  18. I think I'm gonna pick up a new jack and play around with the wire configuration in a couple days.
  19. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/123124-any-interest-oem-ea-radio-ponderings/page-2 Ok, I just installed this mod, and I'm having some problems with it. First when I plug in my Ipod the FM doesn't shut off. This is not a big problem as I found I can just change to a non existent station FM/AM and drown the slight static out with music. The big problem is that the music sounds good, but you can barely hear the voices. It doesn't matter if the treble is up or down, same problem. It's not a problem with the Ipod, I checked it with my head phones. I think it might be a problem with the jack, but the only wires that it has is Right, Left and Ground. This is on a 87 Brat Any Ideas?
  20. It was the cable for the heat control. It came unhooked. Works great now, thanks.
  21. Had that problem. The cable had become rusty. Took it off and worked it with WD-40 and it's been fine ever since.
