  7. I. Dont know what the wheel base of a stock dl is but if u had to shorten the wheel base how much shorter would be ideal?
  8. the mustang 2 (pinto is the same) i have the saab is somthing i was going to use for another project so im familiar with it (and think may fit a subaru axle)
  9. side side note i am very fortunate to own a press if u dont u can use a GOOD "C" clamp or get a ball joint press from o'reily auto parts (free rental with deposit)
  10. ok well ive now done it its easy if you have done a subaru before (side note ive done about 100 ujoints but ones that are supposed to be changed) THESE ARE NOT DESIGNED TO BE CHANGED!!! however that being said, it can be done. (first lesson) dont bother about the sake points just press right past them. (step 2) press ujoint 1 way till it stops with just one socket in the to that is .5mm smaller that the ujoint cap. (step 3) flip and repeat this un-dose the stakes on both sides. (step 4) then smack ujoint with hammer in first direction (not caps) then grab the first cap with vice grips and twist out. if u need help from there well.......

  13. they sell ujoints that have internal c clips as replacements
  14. i would like to take the ujoints out of a dl drive line has any one done this/ there is no c clips? i need to make a short drive line for my rail
  15. sorry i didnt catch how the taper of the ball joint was mated to the subaru knuckle?
  16. back on the soob kart, well i unpiled it! still doing lay out. have alot of drilling of holes and notching tubing
  17. i have a jeep and bronco however they closed down all the wheeling out here in ravensdale so i wanted something i can tow out to wheel so if i brake it, put it on the trailer and go home. so i started to build a rail but wanted a 4x4 so i chose build a rail with subaru parts in part due to youtube of nw off road and look forward to bringing it out to play
  18. They r both doing well just had a close call on losiing both. Ultra sound indicated that baby was 8lb tuurnned out she was 9lb 14oz and she got very stuck 1/2 way
  19. well no updates ive been staying at valley medical center for almost a month now but wife is released and my new daughter hope marie lentz should be released this week!!!! then ill get back on the soob kart
